Sixty years ago, when I was a very young Bank Officer in Bendigo, Victoria, I had to carry a .442 RIC Webley, tucked into the waist of my suit, when the Bank Manager and I had to carry large sums of money around the famously wealthy gold mining town. Custer famously had two of them. Your question brought back some fond memories. I also had to keep that gun at close reach under the counter in the Bank, because I used to buy gold from the miners. If you Google the Shamrock Hotel in Bendigo you will see a fabulous old hotel across the road from the ANZ Bank. Happy memories .

Hi Antonio great video, my only problem is that you compare a character in several movies and a character in just two movies. As you said he’s been in a lot of movies, and you showed examples from several films compared to just two. Imho, I would have selected just two of the Bond films to go up against the two Kingsman films

I’m giving it to Kingsman, the fact that it can even go head to head with bond and it’s history after only two films gives it the edge for me.

I think it's very difficult to choose between the two since James Bond's style is really meant to be as inconspicuous as possible while being timeless and elegant, while I feel Kingsman was a lot more flamboyant with their styling. I like the fact that Kingsman had double breasted suits (those are my favourite) but I still give it to James Bond. The simplicity speaks volumes.

I'm going with Bond. I'd give him the mid based on his look from the funeral scene in Spectre. Check it out.

I'd go for Kingsman. Eggsy's orange tuxedo fits him very well. Very stylish.

I loved Kingsman because of how they play with classic and modern. James Bond is nice, but not daring. Gotta make Kingsman win.

James Bond takes it for me. He is really meant to blend into the crowd, yet he favors materials like Sea Island Cotton, the epitome of style understated but timeless and elegant

Thx for a cool Video. I agree with your general points, but the lapels, the fit and drape of the suits in KM are next level. With JB, I often see collar gaps and poorly tailored jackets, and I just do not see how those suits come close to (supposedly) handmade suits by a top Savile Row tailoring house. Anyway, thumbs up on all the other points 👍

The other way around. Edwart VIII became Duke of Windsor after abdicating, was Prince of Wales before taking the throne, was the grandchild of Edward VII and son of George V.

Kingsman is my pick... bcoz they really make something out of ordinary... even not the gadgets included... they owned it and leveled it up... I never enjoyed something that is flamboyant and fashionably fun at the same time...

Kingsman is what got me into double-breasted suits and bespoke tailoring. I also really love the original Lancelot's single-breasted suit with a double-breasted waistcoat at the beginning of the first film. For Bond the classic Conduit Cut that Sean Connery wore is my favorite.

Okay, upon closer inspection Lancelot has a single-breasted waistcoat but my point still stands. I like that look and it is different from all the other Kingsman agents who have different variations on double-breasted suits.

It depends on the movie plot. While Bond comes from a noble background, Egsy is from a low-class working family. The movie shows how his looks and confidence changed when he became a Kingsman.

You mention Bond's polo shirt - that is a Sunspel Riviera polo. I have a couple and I love them, and I've never even seen Craig's 'Casino Royale'.

I think James Bond takes this one. RMRS, you're doing good work. The trip back to the 60s, 70s to emphasis on the accessories is a good trait on the attention to detail.

I noticed that you didnt mention several of the items in Kingsman that you praised James Bond for. The Car/english cabs has weapons, hidden firearms, a drift mode, submarine mode, self driving, remote control and probably more. The ring is also a tazer. The watch launches amnesia, taser and probably sleeping darts, built in flash bomb, tracker and was used to hack and remotely control robotics. The glasses doubles as cameras, scanners, information display and I’m assuming communications device. Top hats: had surveillance and listening equipment. The suitcase could also be folded out into a bulletproof shield Perfume/deodorant: Freeze spray, timed napalm like explosive Fountain pen: Contains an odorless, tasteless poison that is harmless until remotely triggered by said pen. The suits are custom made and bulletproof (I don’t know if the James Bond suits are bulletproof) Not to mention that they have a multitude of different vehicles that all probably has an autopilot, remote control options, hidden weapons and perhaps different modes like the cab.

This was a really interesting comparison. I've always thought DC's bond has the nicest casual looks. I didn't know Tom Ford was behind it. Good to know.

If we're honest kingsman suits (As good as they look) were inspired Bond Suits. Harry's Grey double breasted Jacket was right out of The Man with the Golden Gun and The Navy stripe from skyfall and On her Majestys secret service.

Point of contention for the casual look, Eggsy goes through 2 phases during the Kingsman films, starting pommy and then becoming a gentleman. This is why his casual wear is more street and sporty. We've never seen a pommy James Bond so a comparison between what a gentleman Eggsy wears casually would be interesting

The large Windsor knot sported by the Kingsman characters is more fitting for a used car or real estate salesman than a proper English gentleman...especially with a DB suit.

Of course, James Bond wins it. Btw, the best Bond look was Sean Connery in Goldfinger, when he changes in Goldfinger's plane and is wearing that awesome 3-pc gray suit.

No contest here. Kings men’s classical return to English style is decent but no way equal to Bond’s long-standing looks. A rendition no one actor can harm, only add to.

Style is more intrinsic to "Kingsman."

I have to say for casual style with layering and texture the win goes to 007, James Bond.

I'd have to give it to Bond - every time I see a Craig Bond film, it makes me want to go workout and up my style. His style is very masculine and tangible. Kingsman is great, but at times, it seems too extravagant for most people to pull off.

For me, I’m a James Bond fan, been watching it sense I was a little kid, from the suits to the cars to the weapons to the Accessories & not to mention the beautiful women in the James Bond Franchises.....winner Bond.....James Bond, all though I do like the Kingsmen and John Wick movies, James Bond has been around a lot longer.

You could use wrist watches as a tie breaker. But I gotta go with Bond.

Hey! I have a question that I really haven't been able to find an answer to. As you've stated in previous videos, a silk tie is the best quality tie. So I noticed something really interesting about a retailer where it says "Outermaterial: 100% Silk" and "Lining: 100% Polyester". I've also noticed that polyester is a cheap material, so when examining this tie in particular with these specifications. Is this a good quality tie or should I find something else? Bond is more stylish. No question here. Kingsman suits are basically uniforms. Bond has the chance to express individuality and switch his attire in a very dynamic manner. His watch, his main gadget - or at least something he can carry on his hands or pockets (ring, phone, glasses, concealed weapons) - is always with him, regardless of which suit he's wearing.
