One of the many reasons I love this band is because the BASS is so prominently featured-it's not buried in the mix and a lot of their songs start with it driving the beat and laying the foundation for the others to build on. JARED is ROCK SOLID and the others trust and respect him enough to lay down the intro on so many songs, it's just refreshing to hear...

Not to mention all the bass lines are so tasty and above average. Reminds me of Eric Avery of Jane's Addiction. Erics bass was the focus of all the early JA stuff.

Amen brother! I make sure my band is mixed similar to kings! Our bass player is very good and our producers first mixes buried him along with the rhythm guitar. I have a strong belief in mixing everything equally. Part of the reason Jared is so good is because he isn’t afraid to break the norm and he focuses heavily on playing with Nathan’s kick drum and in later albums the bass and kick sound like one! Great stuff!

Jared's bass lines are constucted like a lower guitar line with a lot more movement than other bassists out there. I think this is because he was thrown into the fire when the band was formed and he learned to play bass on the fly as him and the band progressed.
Damn Nathan is like the most chill drummer ever in almost every concert he blows bubbles casually while playing
I was there. Thank you Kings Of Leon. It was amazing.
Excellent live performance from one of the greatest band's ever made....!!!!!
Nathan’s back up vocals on “Tonight” are chilling. Best performance of this song I’ve seen

It cool to see KOL on a smaller stage like this. No fancy light show just all about the music!
Tonight is one of my favorites. I love that break down
That solo in Crawl 😎 Matt is so underated!
Every song is perfect
Magical sound in this reduced stage, more confident, Jared killing that bassline at "Dont matter" , the surroounding sound they created on "Wait for me"... and "Tonight" was absolutely amazing...
Tonight! Unbelievably Awesome! Really impressed with Nathan's backup.
This recording sounds amazing. My favorite band always. Can't wait till this virus pandemic bullshit is over. Seeing them live... Every single time they play near me for the rest of my life.

Hope you kept your promise
Still such an incredible band, even after all these years. Have loved them since copping Youth And Young Manhood, then Aha Shake Heartbreak (a masterpiece), back when they FIRST came out. I heard the first 30 seconds of Holy Roller Novocain, and that’s all it took to not only become a fan, but to know they were different, unique, immensely talented, incredibly bad assed, and could become rock legends. And no one in America even knew them then. Including the young guy at Tower where I bought YAYM. I asked him if he’d every heard of them, he said no. I said “You will”. Not only was I right, but nearly 20 years later, they’re still going strong, and the whole world knows who they are now; and recognizes their incredible talent and music. They cut out the extreme hard partying of youth as a rock star, and sound better than ever. Their sound is so uniquely theirs too. No one sounds like KOL, in all the best ways. Just stellar, tight, brilliantly effortless musicianship, incredible lyrics and unmatched, chill inducing vocals and harmonies, with that raspy, southern drawl underlay. They are the best of the great, destined to be legend, rock bands to have emerged from the early/mid 00’s, and the last I’ve seen in my lifetime so far. Incredible how they didn’t even know how to play and just taught themselves along the way, and just got better and better. And their vocal harmonies are second to none. It’s that shared DNA vocal harmony. Just can’t beat it or duplicate. Caleb was worried about his throat, but his hoarseness only served to enhance his vocals, and they sounded fantastic. And god damned, Nathan has such an incredible voice, while effortlessly drumming his ASS OFF. They’re all exceptional on their instruments, and love a scorching Matt guitar solo anytime. AND I LOVE THAT THUNDERBIRD BASS JAROD LAYS IT DOWN THICK AND NASTY ON😉
Tonight snd Wait for me were amazing !! I saw them live for the first time in Hamburg less than 2 weeks ago and it was the best concert I ever saw!!
❤️🔥 forever a KOL fan!!!! Caleb is just my all time crush!!!
For a 50 min show of KOL great set list and show.
I don’t know if I could handle being that close to them 😍
I just love whenever they perform anything from Because Of The Times!
43:00... ORGASMIC!!! That Jared part...fantastic! love KOL
love this, awesome they played "Tonight" really cool Live
43:48 ,..That smile , that look , that move ....ahhh I love himmmmm
Grande banda. Eles estão crescendo cada dia mais...!
uma das melhores bandas!!!
This is awesome! Down to earth rock and great songs
Easily the most under appreciated band that I've ever heard. I mean they aren't the most skillful musicians but GOD DAMN, they write great parts that sync with each other.

cara o som desses cara entram na minha cabeça de um forma muito boa,que banda!
Thanks... much appreciated.
Eu simplesmente amo esse show! Um dos melhores da banda!
Even though this is a short set, I appreciate how Caleb hangs tough with his singing even though his voice is ragged and raspy from a "rough night" before (he mentions this just before the band begins the set). They had played a concert a couple of nights before, too. I *loved* how intimate the set was...how close they were to the audience...how great the camera shots were able to capture the show...etc. It's funny how the smaller audience was stacked with (age) 20-something women from the front row....and on. Ever notice how this band is so proficient with their instruments? Their live shows aren't a huge drop off in quality like many artists. That's rare.

Looks like such a boring corporate crowd. Saw a gig this size in london the other week with them and everybody went nuts from start to finish. American crowds always seem so tame and just nod along
@RogerS3019
7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, those corporate-looking audiences don't have a clue. KOL never fail to mention how England is such a special place for them b/c they got their big career start...audiences got bigger...etc. The music festivals throughout Europe seem to grow in size every year. I like how the crowds appreciate the bands from such a wide variety of genres. Sometimes, I'll download some of the music from the artists who perform at those festivals...and surprise myself with stuff that I'd never ever suspect that I'd like.
BEST. BAND. OF. THIS. GENERATION. PERIOD. END. OF. STORY.

Best band live hands down... they sound dead up like their recordings.

Awesome show. Amazing performance. Great crowd. I mean, I was moved by the bands performance. I think they sounded otherworldly. Headphones on. I love them. I am a big fan of all their albums. Very exciting to see and hear this. Thanks for sharing. Can't believe these negative comments. These guys give 100% and they are magnificent!
