Kingpin is still one of my favorite movies, no matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old.

Weird seeing y'all at Beaver Valley Bowl, my old stomping grounds. I see the house where I had my 1st son over your left shoulder when talking to the camera. Drank and bowled there many many times! Even had the cops come and unlock my car in that parking lot y'all were standing in. Keep up the great work!

I drank in a few bowling alleys between Pittsburgh and Butler I'm not sure which ones that was in the late 70s

Beaver Valley Bowl was active through 2019. In July of that year there was a huge hazmat fire and cleanup in the neighborhood that closed it for a while. It was also used a good bit in filming season one of the Netflix series "I am not okay with this" (Season two was cancelled due to COVID in 2020). It is amazing how these old buildings fall apart quite rapidly when abandoned. Once the heat is turned off in the winter the roof gets ruined and water does the rest.

I loved this movie when I was a kid. I saw it on Tv and since then I never seen it again. Great movie.

Back in 2009-2012 beaver valley bowl was the home lanes for Rochester high schools bowling team. I used to bowl again then there it was so cool since I loved the movie.

What I classic, I was 11 years old when this came out. I stayed at a friend's house we stand up late with his dad to watch this of video couldn't stop laughing!! Great Job👍.. memories!!!!

You guys are such a breath of fresh air in the chaos of todays world, I applaud the fact that you did not want to show the hate comments on the walls of beaver valley bowling as others would just to get that little extra, not needed. I love what you are doing taking us along to all these forgotten, abandoned places and old filming locations, it is fun to see then vs now and I thank you for filming it for us all to enjoy. Also that green hair is fantastic Jess and any woman who wears flip flops as much as you do is A OK in my book.

Proud to call this one of my absolute favs..the Farrelly Bros. were a gift back in the 90's. 'Me, Myself & Irene' was another one that apparently fumbled in the theater but got it's audience eventually . Kingpin is in one of my top ten comedies of all time. So underrated, from top to bottom. Thanks for the journey!

Rochester pool hall was in the 3rd floor of the bowling alley, which was in the 2nd floor when Woody loses his hand. As a kid crossing the bridge I thought this building was abandoned until I was 15 going to shoot pool for the first time. Old stomping grounds. Elevator was a death trap. Lol.

Crazy to think that it’s been 25 years later that movie came out.

Bowled at Beaver Valley Bowl many times as a youngster. Was really cool seeing it in the movie when I saw it for the first time. Had to climb a nice flight of stairs to get to the lanes

My favorite comedy of all time, I live near the Amish community in Lancaster Pennsylvania so it always had a special place in my heart !!

I was just watching Clerks, but I shut it off because I had to see this! Kingpin was just about perfect. The era when it came out was great too, so many good movies came out of that era, 1993-1996. Its nice to see the bowling alley is still there.

Hands down my favorite Farrelly Brothers movie. The music was a perfect match for the movie.

I was living in Evans City at the time Kingpin was filmed, I remember the road being closed for filming at the Mars bowling alley. I also remember encountering the crew when I was driving to work one day, going from Evans City to Mercer. They were filming a driving scene, maybe if I re-watch the movie it will remind me where it was. Maybe on Route 9? I also was living in Kittanning when "Mothman" was filmed, they were filming for a long time, it was months.

McKnight Bowling Lanes in Ross Twp was in the movie. I’m surprised you didn’t check it out. I grew up bowling there and was so excited when it saw it was in Kingpin. Great video though, thanks for sharing.

The Beaver Valley Bowl was also used in the movie Wonder Boys and the Netflix series I Am Not Okay with This. Sadly, I doubt it will be standing for much longer as it has been closed for some time and the property has failed to sell recently. The farm used in Kingpin is on PA Route 288 in Fombell, PA, just across from the Fombell General Store (at the time of filming it was the post office). You can line up the shot where Ishmael rides his bicycle down the lane after meeting Roy with Google Street View. The bridge where Ishmael passes the "Roy 101" test after telling Roy he wants to walk to Reno is a section of PA Route 528 that spans Lake Arthur, just North of Prospect, PA. Also available on Street View.

The building to the guys right when he first starts his documentary actually belongs to my family. My grandpap bought that building when he got out of world war II. My dad and his sisters and brother were all born in that building. My family still lives in it and I visit it every year when I'm not sick. Yes it is a busy and dangerous curve. We used to walk across that bridge as kids because on the other side was a 7-Eleven and that's where we got our slurpees. We used to sit out front at night in our lawn chairs and could barely see each other because of all the fog. Good Times there I have pictures with my family with Woody because it was raining when they filmed it and he stayed in my grandma's house. We call it a house. She fixed him lunch and I have pictures of him with her and my aunts and uncles. My dad and I travel back and forth to Pennsylvania during the Thanksgiving time and we missed meeting Woody by three weeks. Those buildings were actually Westinghouse buildings because Westinghouse was located just on the other side of that bridge and that is where my grandpap worked. I guess they call them something else now but we still call them that.

My husband was a bowling double for Woody Harrelson. Inside bowling scenes filmed at Mosside Lanes as well as Carrick Lanes on Brownsville Road.

There was an exterior shot filmed at McKnight Lanes on McKnight Road, I don't know if any interior shots were filmed there but there's an exterior shot that has Munson's car parked in front of it. About a year after the movie came out it got sold to someone who shut it down and had the building raised up, bowling alleys are very low building's, and converted it into a retail store like a Bed Bath and Beyond kind of place, I was on the ironworking crew that did the work, there were people across the street with signs protesting it who were these hard-core Pittsburgh area bowlers who were all bent out of shape because they considered McKnight Lanes to be an historical bowling property in the Pittsburgh area that should have been preserved for it's historic value, I'd never heard of such a thing and on the first day kept expecting to see Woody Harrelson to come walking along figuring that what was really going on was a sequel to Kingpin was being filmed, I just couldn't take the whole "historical bowling" thing seriously and thought for sure I was going to wind up as an extra in Kingpin II, The Return of Munson.

I literally work in Mars, PA...had no idea you guys were here!!!

The building at the end was also used in the 2000 movie Wonder Boys starring Micheal Douglas, Toby McGuire, Robert Downey Jr and Katie Holmes. If you've never seen it look it up and watch it, it was filmed mostly in the immediate Pittsburgh area, that was about as far away from the city they got, it's a good movie, watch it sometime.
