Toei just invested around 2 billion for new studio that King-Ohger use, which to be honest it's gonna help them in a long run. - They use huge LCD screen on the back instead of green screen which decrease the workload. - No need to worry about location, traveling and weather or Covid. - Less stress for the actor and production team, usually when there's night scene the whole team either start at dawn or over time late into the night. New studio will help lessen that problem. - And since this is Toei's own studio, that mean we'll see something like this more often...Usually when they do something like this they have to rent outside studio instead.

One of it's directors reassured fans that they need not worry per budget this season. They're using new tech for the show

I've seen interviews that they've secured all episodes to use the CGI continuously. I just hope they don't do too much of an earth crossover. But I believe they saved on money by using modern day Japan for the blue kingdom. (I haven't watched ep2 so I can't confirm the use of IRL settings on that ep.)

I don't think Toei would want to repeat what they did to Kamen Rider Decade back in 2009. But Kingohger has so much potential, it would be a shame if they finished early.

After Toei deciding not to go HD digital in the 90s to being SD until Dekaranger and then still being behind on production values until 2019…I’m shocked that Toei is putting any values into Super Sentai.

Ive been out of sentai for like a decade. I'd check out the opening episodes every year still, just out of interest, but it never really grabbed me for more than a couple. This one has me hooked so far, I hope it keeps up at this level. Bottom text

Let just wait until episode 5 either they still can keep up with those CG and magical world or just randomly shot at present Japan landscape and city..

And the scenes man...they flowed so well...courtesy of great cinematography, editing (no music when scenes are serious, and just letting us see an emotion without cutting to a different shot, etc), great directing and a pretty great acting. Bravo vince!

If you watched Donbrothers caring about how bad the cgi was then you wasn’t really watching forreal. Yes they were bad but that was the first half of super Sentai after they started introducing cgi

What i am thinking right now is where will the sixth sentai would come from. Actually, i may be wrong but the highest probability is that he will come from the villains power

This is a good start to Kingohger and I'm glad this brought me back from my break from modern sentai after Kiramiger (I didn't watch Zenkaiger and Donbrothers yet). I don't have a favorite yet but it's leaning towards Gira or Rika. We will see.

@@tophergerkey yup! Though some clarifications. Toei licensed and collaborated, maybe put input on some lore accuracy and some supervision to assure the show will fit for both Philippine and Japanese audiences, BUT the entire production beside that is all Filipinos.

For the transformation sequence, they could just made them select their insect, wait a few seconds for the pose, and then had them press God Kuwagata or their own insect again.

A little spoiler, but in the second episode of the show is showed to us that they don't have to press all the buttons, just press the switch of their respective insects and then use the kuwagata in the center.

A nice era of Super Sentai, really loved Zenkaiger, definitelly loved Donbrothers and I am already hyped for KingOhger, if they can keep this momentum I can totally see better setpieces with their budgets.

I tell you right here right now, this gonna one of the greatest Sentai ever and it's hard to be the season just after the perfect Don Brothers... Even if it's a "kid show" we can see that the people who work on it know that Toku have adults fans all around the world, we have Sentai with the maturity of RPM now and that's litteraly amazing, it's all I wanted for years !

Despite how the show may go, I think the toys will sell very well. An articulated megazord, to me at least, is more important than what they do with the show. As for the show so far: I like it, I think it’s pretty unique for Sentai, and I can’t wait for more action.

Honestly, I’m already enjoying this season better than the previous. It’s like a high school warring faction Anime with kings instead of club presidents. Donbrothers was an over energetic mess and I hated the characters, but this actually appears more composed with actual direction this time.

Thank god it's a return to form after zenkaiger and the hell donbrothers was. So far king ohger is absolutely phenomenal

This is so good thus far, Hasbro and Saban would have to be dumber than Patrick Star to not try and adapt this (then maybe we can get the intro scene but sans the foot fetish)! I think it would be interesting to see what other spins American story writers could do with the given plot, especially since we’ll never get Don Brothers due to the sheer number of themes that only people from Asian cultures would understand!
