Synopsis
During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), Choi Cheon Joong is Korea’s leading fortuneteller and face-reading physiognomist - as well as a skilled gambler and martial artist. He is beloved by the people of the realm and is a fierce patriot.
However, he now faces his biggest challenge yet when he takes it upon himself to replace the corrupt regime running the country, hoping to elect in their place a virtuous young prince from a minor royal line. The prince, he believes, is the ideal man to take the Joseon throne.
He also identifies the realm’s ideal royal consort - a humble street girl.
Choi Cheon Joong must use all of his abilities to help the couple take power - but is aided in his efforts by a princess named Hwang Bong Ryun a woman who also displays incredible fortune-telling skills.
As the duo proceeds with the audacious plan, they begin to develop feelings for one another...
The Characters
Choi Chun-Joong (Park Si-Hoo) is the best face reader in the nation. He was born into a prestigious family, but his family was killed off. He is looked down upon as a fortune-teller, but he eventually becomes the most powerful person in Joseon. He is aware of Joseon's fate and tries to change it. He also devotes his life to the woman he loves.
Lee Bong-Ryeon (Ko Sung-Hee) is a beautiful princess and the daughter of King Cheoljong. She has a special ability to see the fate of people. Her ability is a blessing and, at the same time, a curse to her. Lee Bong-Ryeon meets Choi Chun-Joong and tries to change the fate of Joseon for the better.

I'm already watched this amazing drama. Park Shi Hoo is my favorite actor ever. I love when he do Jeoson dramas. This drama is another hit. Not only the costumes also the story from the beginning thru the last episode full of action tension some romance. The principal actress did an excellent job. Great charisma between them. 110% recommended.

Funny how I have to stumble upon what I consider "good" Asian drama, I will try it once I'm done with my second time on Longest Day in Chang'an. I used to prefer Kdrama but its been a long time since what I like ie My Sunshine, the Iris series, and more... I've seen practically all the good (and expensive) ones. Thanks for your review, I hope to give it a thumbs up.

@@Sieglinden click on settings (little wheel) click on auto translate. I know the first language menu does not have the English option that's why you have to scroll all the way down to bottom. There you'll see another auto translate option, click on that and you'll be able to scroll to the English language option. From there on you should be able to watch every episode without further adjustments.

I am so glad to see a lot of comments in Turkish. I loved Turkish series until I realized that apart from series on Netflix Turkish series in most cases either don't see you through with subtitles or the producer most often block the series living you curious. Chinese officials and scholars who settled on the Peninsula. Use Chinese characters and Korean language to create "Korean characters".).). Writing history is the tradition and habit of the ancient Chinese. The history of the ancient Korean Peninsula was written by classical Chinese. This was read for the Chinese and must be approved for the Chinese emperor. This is a record and governance story of Chinese officials and nobles on the ancient Korean Peninsula.
