Hopefully one day at least the film will be leaked or released, even if it's only with its storyboards.

@@retrogamermax8287 Or sb should do a "Recobbled cut". I mean, if The Thief and The Cobbler can have an entire version that consists of unused scenes that are literally storyboards and rough animations, Idk why couldn't this.

​@Retro Gamer Max While you probably aren't wrong, the notoriously banned full episode of "Sesame Street" featuring the Wicked Witch of the West just barely resurfaced online after having been thought completely lost for almost 50 years. So I'm not completely ready to give up hope! Plus, Disney has been starved for ideas lately. I could see them revisiting this original concept, possibly releasing the finished workprint on Disney+ (if not just outright completing the project, which from what I hear was already mostly animated at the time it was scrapped)

I imagine if Roger Allers and Matthew Jacobs arranged with 20th Century Fox about this project. while Disney works on The Emperor's New Groove with Mark Dindal as director. It would be produced at Fox Animation Studios (even if it still opens and Don Bluth and Gary Goldman quits and Ice Age is in development at Blue Sky)

They put so much work into it only for it to be thrown all away.😒 Hopefully one day they will consider reviving it in some form. At least they kept some of the songs on the soundtrack.

@@CalicoJackal because he had been working on this thing at that point for like 4 years, with constant changes to the script and back and forths being told some songs will be in it, then they wont. Anyone wouldve been tired. If a potential movie he worked on in the future would happen, Hopefully it would have a smoother production.

Right! All the money they spend on the live action remakes, and they can't finish this one movie? Come on, so much has already been made, it can't possibly cost more than creating something new from scratch. And what a great comeback of 2D hand drawn animation in feature films it would be. I'm sure a lot of people would love to watch it. Even though lately I haven't been going to the movies much and usually just wait until the new stuff is available on Disney+, but I would absolutely go watch this movie on the big screen. As much as I love The Emperor's New Groove, I think this version deserves a chance to exist too.

The original song if it is, on the Soundtrack album for Latin America, has the same instrumental as here in the video.

@@elcomentaristalouie Indeed, the original version survived at least in the Spanish and Portuguese adaptations. The English one however remains a mystery for now.

Оригинал мог быть интересным если бы его довели до ума, но то что мы имеем на выходе тоже хорошо, так как нормальных комедий мало в наше время, а этот конечный фильм был идеальным в этом жанре, и его за это любят. Не смотря на множественные изменения в сценарном и жанровом плане.
