Just do it, it's so much more fun. Hardcore mode with no slowmotion while fighting, no hud and faster archery is the best experience by far imo.

just select ALL negative traits. you'll get used to them quicker than you think

I was too, but I'm enjoying it, play it with all 9 perks to make it worthwhile. And if you've played normal mode for long enough, you won't get lost I assure you. Also for navigation you have shrines, accidents, interesting sites that will help you locate yourself in the map, if you feel like "Cheating" take the EHHH AAAHHH EH AHHHH EH AAAHHHH quest and drop a bird's cage when you feel lost, your location will show on the map

Might I recommend a mace? Btw, I wouldn't want to fight this guy if they ever added an online mode.

as someone who’s also cleared Vranik in a similar fashion, maces aren’t good for combat like this because the weapon just isn’t long enough. hitting a blow with a mace, even a master strike, requires you to be much more close and personal with your opponent than a longsword just because it’s so short. against 8 or 9 well-armored people i can just barely pull out a win with a mace while managing to completely decimate them with a longsword. this is with 20 in both maces/swords.

for example, he wouldn’t have been able to land the masterstrike at 0:47 if he was using a mace. it would have just been a normal block. i know this from experience.

@@JHP2001 very true, but it’s hard to get the opportunity to hit an enemy when there are 7 others surrounding you. against three or four it’s much easier, but once your enemies reach a certain number you just don’t get the opportunity to attack without being punished for it. once that number is reached, the only way i’ve found to defeat a group is outmaneuvering them while master striking, and it’s very hard to master strike with a mace while walking backwards.

Even faster if you use a mace without shield

Lol i used the hut near the entrance and killed them there. Made it a bit easier as they funnel through.

How Henry did so much counters ?????

you can counter while they’re tackling you if you get the timing right
