I'm convinced the combat master is a spy for Sigismund, He turns up in Skalitz a few days before the attack and obviously leaves just before it happens.

Thank you Dale! Glad to hear that, I felt the same when I discovered the depth in the game. Unfortunately this is the part that the game narrows down in scope so there won't be as much choice and hidden stuff as there's been up to now.

I am not sure but i think i have seen bandits going outside vranik to kill our skalitz friend if you take too long to go looking for him at the dead tree. If you beat the combat master he gives you some advice free.

Heh, it would such a "shame" for Zbyshek got his just deserts at the hands of the bandits. Poetic justice even. Usually I end up leaving him behind accidentally. For the first time Vanyek actually beat me in that duel so I left that in. I don't remember if he gives you actual skill points though.

I noticed from other playthroughs that Vanyek can give Bow training, but he refused that particular player with a "pulling pizzle" retort. It seems Vanyek is immortal. He will send Henry back to Erik no matter how well or badly Henry performs in the duel. I think the main reason for the Vanyek fight is to increase the shock value of Toth's sudden reappearance in the story. Players don't know what to expect when Henry first meets Erik. Players are least likely to suspect any surprises upon returning to Erik. Having already met Erik, players are not braced for impact. I reqlly enjoy the quality of writing in this game.

I wish you'd eries could last forever, I jsut find it so relaxing watching your gameplay and voice over. Hopefully their will be a sequel soon so you can do some videos on that

Zbyshek deserves a second chance. He threw Theresa to the cumans and turned Henry over to Runt. Add up Henry's foul play and maybe they break even. But look at it this way. Zbyshek offers to help Henry to escape in exchange for a fresh start. In doing so, Zbyshek inadvertently prevents another Skalitz. Henry is able to warn the nobles about Toth's imminent attack. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, surely selfish motives can lead in the opposite direction.

Not a bad argument. To me, it all comes down to whether you care about adhering to honor. I know Henry is not a nobleman, but he is in the personal service of Sir Radzig and what he does reflects Radzig's image. So it's merely a question of whether you want to honor your word to zbyshek or not. Let it be said that Sir Hanish did let Toth go and kept his word after everything he pulled, so it could be customary for Henry to do the same.

But, Vranik was a diversion, you were supposed to escape for Divish to empty Talmberg and ride towards Vranik while Toth took over the castle. Also, when you send Zbyshek to the Gallows, the fucker yells that "His Master (Toth) will slaughter you (Us) all like sheep" which implies he was sent by Toth to lead you into a trap. Henry said it best in Skalitz: "A cunt is still a cunt, no matter what"

I ended up getting caught looking at random chests and accidentally had to fight my through the entire camp before talking to Erik. Had to kill like 30-40 guys

I think that Toth is the worst „Bad Guy” that could be. I think that would be much better if talmberg was taken by Margvart von Aulitz and the rest as with Istvan. Margvart was our enemy from day one unlike Toth.

I initially thought that Vanyek was the same as the Vagabond beggar you found in Rattay, they have the same character model but different voice, but I was wrong😂.

I killed everyone in Vranik after I entered. I used bow but mainly the small house near the entrance and fought them there. After my capture there is only one guard left lol. The only problem is that i got a wanted label in monestary, sasau and ladetchko.

I hope you got them back from Erik's room before you left. I've never managed to get Bernard to give me any armour afterwards and had to rely on the stuff in my chest.

@@SequentialGamer_KCD what I did was I stored health potions, savior schnapps and what not in that chest outside and went in. I had watched a playthrough years before so I knew something was going to happen but I didn’t remember what. And ya I snuck back in and got my stuff

@@Wax_Man Yeah, you can definitely use those chests for that. Not truly necessary because your stuff is in Erik's room but I've roleplayed something like that before. It's a realistic idea if you think about it.

I'm quite certain that this was a bug but I found the Sasau bailiff in Vranik fighting with the bandits. He got killed but after the quest, I found him again in Sasau alive.

A Bandit didn't have his torch out at night and wanted his rightful 10 groshen fine

im stuck at this quest for a while, i dont have the dice, and i cant convince the guard to let me in with none of the options... what should i do? where can i find the dice? didnt loot the bandits, and pios was taken by the bailiff of rattay...

There should be a quest to retrieve lost items, it sends you to the house of the Rattay priest. Lost quest items should be in the chest inside.

Heey sequential, did you know that you can scape Henry's prision without speaking to Sbyshek_?? you can jump the wall and get out making parkour, and you can even kill him without asking for his help and get all your equipment back. :D

Yeah, it happens by accident more often than not! It's actually harder to find Zbyshek in the dark :D I got my equipment back in the video, I mentioned it but I didn't show it. Gotta raid Erik's room, can't leave all that loot behind.

@@SequentialGamer_KCD no noo i dont mean escaping the castle walls, i mean escaping the room where hanry is beeing captive. You can skip asking shbyshek for help, even kill hem before exit the ''castle''. and u can even go with him if u want, but without having asked for his help. Its so tricky to do, you have to do serious parkour over a wood kart inside the prision room, and you can with some luck, get over the wall, and jump to Erik's room and take yur loot back then speak to sbyshek. :D i think i didnt explain myself good first time XD

@@SequentialGamer_KCD Yeah, when you refuse first time, you can ''glitch out'', and then u can still decide what u wanna do with him, i hate accepting his help, so i allways got out by my own means. But, is not even a glitch, its a jump anyone could do including henry, but, the jump requires from a bit tricky jump spamming XD But, i really love to get out without his help, even take the loot back, then speaking to him to escape, this way, feels even more satisfactory to take him to the law, after refusing his help. :D You can even kill him right there outside the prision room's door if you like too . :D

I hated the “reveal” in this section so much. It ruined part of what made KCD so unique: Henry’s humble beginnings. This is now just like any other narrative where the main character is actually someone “special”.

The reveal *is* a bit trite, but the important thing is that the player had to earn their skill in fighting and all their gear. Whether you were or were not Radzig's son is irrelevant to the player's experience.

It is a great reveal. For a peassant and even son of a friend/blacksmith in one person, your progress is far too fast. You can call it a "good luck", but in retrospective it makes much more sense they DO give you such chance to grow if you are a side-child of a noble (and they know it). They don´t tell you to test you and because you are still kinda expendable, but this reveal is like a final piece of a puzzle. And, to be fair, it caught me of guard in the first playthrough a bit. Once you know this and play for the second time, all suddenly makes sense - the "blue blood" remark from your father in first intro - the chances you are given (unlike other beggars) - Radzig´s willingness to pay your fee as a city guard - why Hanush won´t immediately through you in prison or to public humiliation at least and instead sends you with Hans Capon "as a lecture" (highly unlikely if you are a dirty peassant boy) - calling you "good luck, son" after Pribyslawitz battle by Radzig - Radzig´s hesitations of sending you alone into Vranik. From a military point of view it is silly - you already pre-scouted one large camp and have few battles and duel on your back (let alone some 1-man clearing of few bandit camps as a sidequests). Sending you to scout another one seems like a no-brainer. But Radzig starts to care for you more and more and it is seen as he is thinking about acknowledging you. He starts to really care and it is due to his hesitations that he suddenly doesn´t want to risk it. Once you know he is your father, this makes perfect sense
