Sick fight. Just getting into this game myself. Quite a steep learning curve for combat but personally the "realism" is well worth it.

blunt weapon + headcracker perk = easy mode combat

I am on my first playthrough and am using headcracker and mace. Since I have used that combo combat seems alot easier. I will definitely be choosing a new weapon for playthrough 2 tho. I'm thinking Longsword

If you are wearing full face helmet you should have your vision restricted.

@@arthurmorgan7645 I know it is, but it's more like cheating because you have the advantage of helmet armor with no penalty in the way your vision is restricted. In KCD everything has it's advantages with disadvantages as well.

@@Lord_Simpwalker Yeah I bet so, there are some open face helmets to choose from in that case. Anyway devs have confirmed in KCDII there will be the button designed to open and close your visor. I can't wait because it will be so cool to choose.

Pay attention yellowish tint on the center Star HUD, that's the 1st part, 2nd part is a pinkish tint on top of red. Early on your agility is very low (take more frames to execute attack, easy perfect blocked by opponent), taking perk such juggler can actually speed up reaction. Be mindful, when the hand change position it will require more frames to move into blocking animation pose, so if you execute the left uppercut it will always a success.

Felt extra good to finally kill this scumbag as he applies poison to his blade. Had to reload an earlier save and buy some antidote potions before fighting him

I've just gigachaded his poison blade : got poisoned, killed him and casually went to the bath house XD Took me 3 attempts though, first time I ran into him in my casual noble clothing, second time I failed to realize what was going on with the poison and all and he's pretty tough and I suck at combos.

Pro tip: If you wanna get better at any game you must Git Gud

@@rattled4806 the problem is unless I’m fighting someone lower level if I try to bait the master strikes out they jsut sit there and don’t attack but I don’t want to risk a master strike by attacking so I jsut feel cheesy fighting. Unless the ai is glitched for me and won’t attack for someone reason without me attacking first

If your strength and stealth are high enough, you can climb the hill after he spawns in, sneak behind him, then knock him out. Rob him blind. When he wakes up he will try to fist fight you. Bonk.

He ambushed me and almost kill me butin the end i win but i saw a skull icon near my health and thinking fuck that poison. Haha he is the 1st enemy using poison weapon

@@gvl1260 I had one in my inventory, but its useless anyway because you cant drink it in combat. You also cant run away from him, bcs the poison just slows you like crazy. I almost managed to get on my horse and ride away, but i got killed in the end. So I reloaded the save and three arrows from long bow did the job easily :D

I remember fighting him once and then he got that broken face masterstrike attack and I got poisoned bad. Fight ended with me having 3 hp left. I had antidote so I lived though.

I got poisoned by this guy and had to sit it out with marigold potions while nearly dying.

How are you so quick, even with a short sword? You’re able to land a blow before his, even when he initiated before you.

Fast Striker Perk, it only applies to Agility based weapons, which means shortswords pretty much. And (Probably) Chain Strikes perk.

Well, i noticed that it is when he changes position and you attack exactly from the opposite direction. Edit: I just read the description xD, there is an actual explanation.

Feinting seems broken in Kingdom Come. Early on when you're just learning, you will have to switch the direction at least once to tap the AI to try and defend from that direction before properly executing a feint. Weak enemies will telegraph their openings. But as you get into regular play, the AI seem to not even bother opening itself up for you to exploit. You switch, it immediately switches with you, no chance. I also despise how quickly you have to parry to perform a proper riposte, instead of executing the move with a second button. I just can't do it. My reaction time just isn't that good.

First time I fought him I had St George's Sword. Second time I shot him in the face and headcracker proced

To raise your stat safely just train with Bernard or if you looking for challenge go camp in Skalitz, raising stats is pretty easy.

You can. Just play defensively. I thought combat against 3 or more guys was impossible too. Until I got ambushed by 4 bandits and came out on top. Part of why I was losing before was because I was aggressively attacking when I was outnumbered. If you wildly swing your weapon at 1 when they try to surround you, you leave yourself open to anyone to your side. Keep your stamina high. If you have good armor, you'll lose stamina instead of health if the attack isn't really strong. If you waste stamina, you're wasting your ability to take less damage.

Imho combos are so useless in this game, just for fun or showing-off. 🤣

True enough, since that's why we play game - to have fun, if you play by being not having fun that's pretty much you doing an odd job without getting paid like climbing walls in AC series for 1k+ hours.

not useless the usefull thing about it is at the last move the enemy cannot defend himself also if you have perks that are related with combos u deal a massive damage which can be huge advantage if u are facing multiple enemies. so either u didnt play enough in the game or u never do combos🫥

​@@baselalshayeb6189 combos are only good in 1 v 1. When u are outnumbered the best thing u can do is just clinch and slah/stab/bonk. Combos use alot of stamina. When its depleted u will just get stun lock and u will lose health fast

But that's not the problem, you can look up the order of moves in the game, you just have to memorize them, or you search up some list with all the combinations on a second device, so you can look at it while playing. The actual problem is when to start the combination, this could really be helpful, the actual explanation is in the description, in case you haven't seen that.

@@gior987 the problem is the game tries to trick you into a false sense of learning by including fancy combat options that don’t mean anything if your level is too low compared to your enemy/enemies. If they didn’t want the combat to be a high point of the game they shouldn’t have based most of the gameplay and systems around it

Still no help with doing combos. Must be easier on pc somehow.

Regardless of platform, to execute combo you need to hit your joystick key exactly when your weapon land on enemy. This is important, Bernard did mention about this so pay attention to what he says. To train combo the easiest find this guy: kzread.info/dash/bejne/dmlrmrZ9nrnbZpM.html

How to combat on this game Just How, i mean Its ridículous tô hold B on Xbox Just to run i mean WTF.....

This is so funny, he claims to "always execute combo successfully" and fails 4 of 8 attempts (literally 50%) LMAO And this is in 1 vs 1 fight !!! Imagine what could be in group fight, when other npc tend to hit your back all the time, preventing you from any action at all. PS: this only proves, that people who protects this game's combat system are lunatics, just like the guy in this video. (6 month update) Actually, the fact is: as soon as somebody criticizes this game combat system (because it really is THE WORST of all times), fanbois start to COPE so hard: "you don't understand, it's all realism, its's just difficult to get used to, git gud, you have to learn combos, etc". But in reality all you have to do to git gud - to top your stats ang gear, just like in any other game, execpt any other game is much better than this tackle autolocking nonsense. COPE HARDER FANBOIS

PS: if you have problem with this games combat you simply have skill issue and need to get good. i admit, at first it was quite f*cking rough but after learning perfect block and striking it's butter smooth easy lol.

Lol group fights are supposed to be unfair. The video never claimed combo's are effective in group fights. The only way you can counter act multiple opponents is by getting good armor and trying to get all your enemies in front of you. This dosen't mean the combat system is bad.
