Personally I lost my interest in Fantasy after I knew the unfeigned Middle Ages. I know people who says that and like Game of Thrones. GoT is pratically a fiction of the Middle Ages, more specifically the War of Roses. The fantasy that is in there is just small uncommitted things...

Can't wait to play the alpha. Glade there's finally a middle ages game that is actually trying to at least attempt realism and authenticity rather then just fantasy galore. Even going as far as having half-swording (where the guy grabs above the hilt of his sword at the end), which is how you'd fight against someone in plate with a sword rather then just bashing away at them with it like normal.

Jachob Jensen Played most of those and while they aren't fantasy many of them do not even remotely come near "realism" when it comes to the actual combat. The melee combat in M&B and Chivalry are just really gamey, having people move around strafing about while swinging swords with no regard for their foot placement. It's like the old Jedi Knight style o fmelee combat, too "wishy washy" for me, feels like everyone is ice skating. The ranged and mounted combat is very fun in M&B though, which is why I enjoy to play it.

Stuart Bradley Newsom It's not the same as saying it's rogue-like. Rogue-like is a sub genre, skyrim isn't. Does the game share similarities to Skyrim, yes. But there are some big differences. Also Skyrim is the nordic region of Tamriel, so it has a lot of viking influences as opposed to this game having the typical medieval knight influences. And the fact that this game is much more realistic than Skyrim is. It's like comparing Battlefield to ARMA, both are good and somewhat similar in a few ways, but they have two very different approaches to their genre.

plot will be good im sure about it I mean guy who is main designer wrote mafia 1 and 2 story, technical side especially theirs really complex AI will be hard to polish , but I think they will make it probably with some delays but game will comeout great, and how you can compare it to some exploration survival game where are thousands of randomly generated planets, this is rpg focused on story, and every meter of this world is made by people and recreates real actual places you can find today

RancorSnp They definetely aren't out of ideas, given how huge their community is and how many requests has been made. The problem is that they're still kinda small team and so far, all Mount & Blade games were rather primitive and clunky, but really entertaining. So how I see it is they're making their first bigger step into making a more refined base game, which will then spawn thousand of mods - I was hoping for coop singleplayer, which would be the best thing ever, but alas, hopefully we are least get far better mod support. And if you really think that developers willingly make games ugly in order to make gameplay shine more, then that's some medieval bullshit right there. Good visuals don't make a great game, but no sane person wants their baby (be it game, movie or anything creative) to look bad. If anything, great game with good visuals (or at least good stylization, it's not about best textures or models) makes for a better experience than great game with poor visuals.

Considering the maker is named Warhorse, i better be able to armor plate my horse.

The best game ever made. (Yes there are bugs, but they have released some patches to fix it)

This game's looking very good perhaps because lead designer of KCD is Dan Vávra.He made legendary MAFIA: The city of Lost Heaven!

Looking back this game..... wow practically all the visuals, characters, armor, combat has all changed

Kingdom come deliverance is one legend of videogames atmospheres sountrack history etc KCD forever!!!!

This aged quickly. One of the best games out there

I love this game already! It is realistic with real weapons, real armor and finally it has a real fighting technique! Now we can play all the Talhoffer and Lichtenauer styles! Its a shame that I cant play this wonderful game!

Looks amazing. The website details the progress and process of the devs while creating the game. Incredibly in depth, never have I been so immersed in the world of the creation itself, not the gameplay. Alpha users are posting screenshots of the game, and despite the numerous (and hilarious) bugs, the game looks absolutely beautiful.

m4d386 That's just software side. Hardware side, i think only AMD's r9 290 or 285's are full DX12 compliant. And the new cards that they announced the 300 series.

I am curious to see how large-scale battles will play out in practice, as well as smaller engagements between multiple people (2 vs 1, 1 vs 3, 2 vs 3, etc.). Game shows promise and a lot of potential in terms of combat. It's also great that it's a medieval game set in historical times, without fantasy thrown in.

Its a historical game taking place in Bohemia, in the Holy "Roman" empire in 1453 and consists of real locations, people and events. I am not a historian, but I have never heard of a dragon ravaging bohemia in 1453

I'm so hyped for this game you have no idea. I do wish there was a multiplayer mode for siege battles or duels though. I really need a break from Chiv.
