I love this game . I play it alot since the day they launch the game . I just hope few things . They add dlc map that i can go to another zone and see new things meet more new town . Bigger city and some other country enemy . And i hope they fix the animal AI and add some wolf , bear , ... i willing to pay another 60$ for DLC that can make this game be more good

I love this game. Def better than Witcher 3 and Skyrim

I actually like that it's based on a set character. For me personally, I get more invested in learning the story of a set person. I dont role play well with a limitless, amorphous, make it up on the fly character. Here I'm learning the story of henry, I put myself in Henry's shoes based on what I know of him. This is a really good game.

No bugs aren't the issue here. In fact it is very few. Problem with this game is optimization. Most of what you see as bugs, like headless people, character stuck in combat, horse have alien legs, stuck in loading etc.. everything is due to piss poor optimization. I am willing to give it a pass given this is their first AAA game. But if they are going to survive as a gaming company they have a learning curve to pass.

Don't speak to me about Bethesda, they destroyed the Fallout name. First two games were good, also the New Vegas was playable, but I'm at an awe how bad fallout 4 is.....and I'm not talking about fallout 76 - luckily I didn't buy it, but the opinions I heard about it convinced me that is bad as hell. Skyrim wasn't bad, but it felt empty after a while (well, same like Kingdom Come). Damn so much beautiful locations but so few side quests. Otherwise KCD is one of the best RPGs I ever played, with major flaws, but still fun to play.

Bethesda they were used to be my favorite go to play open world rpg. Even buying all there DLC pouring my money to the things I love is no big deal. Then came Witcher 3 and Now Kingdom Come. Now I'm pretty much hesitant on buying there games fall out is the final blow to me leaving a bad taste to my mouth. It's a shame

I pirated the game, realized it was awesome, bought a legit copy, uninstalled my pirated version and then proceeded to play it for the rest of the day without a single break... It’s safe to say that this game is great!

I've got to the first bandit that I had an option to kill in story after hours of training with caotain Bernard already master with sword and in defence. The poor low level guy didn't know what hit him =D

@@SpaceCadetLaC I had the similiar case with those Hungarians (forgot ingame name) that kidnap sir Hans. I had nothin, literally nothing.. Hunting bow and some scrappy sword. Spent 3 hours trying to kill the 3 soldiers guarding him instead of just freeing him and running away in stealth =D #Worthit

"The animation and lip-syncing sucks! This game looks terrible!" I've heard this argument alot, and you guys need to realize this is an indie game. It had to be kickstarted and it's this studio's first game. Look at it as an indie title and it shines as quite an impressive feat. Look at it as a AAA title, which it isnt, and it starts to look kinda bad. It's an indie game, and an incredible one at that Also, this isnt a hack and slash game. The combat isnt fun to watch, but when you play it for yourself, it's really really fun. Very challenging, very tactical, very rewarding.

Az Hunt because they want a black man in medieval Europe. Sure could have been seen in large cities like prague, but definitely not in the shit hole that the game takes place in.

Lets make one thing clear, and very clear: This game is not meant for everyone. In fact it is not meant for 90% of you reading this comment. This is a slow paced realistic medieval RPG that does not hold your hand in any way. This is not like Skyrim, this is not like the AAA games you have been playing for the last decade. It is designed for people who want to truly immerse themselves in a realistic world, which comes with a lot of the negatives and boringness of the real world.

I'm 6 hours into the game, and I have to say I'm disappointed by one aspect of the game: hunting. The animals AI is rather simple, to say the least...they are dumb, don't flee and If you shoot a deer, It just drops dead instantly, no matter where you shoot, not to mention how few encounters with humans there are if you're exploring, it feels a little empty. However, the story is pretty good so far, and it's a good game overall.

Slash Le Pew they'll come sooner or later :) most of them are harmless, like you glitch under the map, heads don't load etc. But I've encountered already 2 really gamebreaking bugs :(

I went to use an alchemy table. Upon interacting with it, it opened up the menu, and i started clipping up through the roof and into the sky. I immediately closed the menu, started falling and died on impact with the ground. Needless to say, i was not impressed.

I'm not gonna lie, there are bugs, but 1. They generally disappear with a little few seconds of patience and 2. Within a short time most of the bad ones will be squashed by the development team. So I really don't understand why people make such a big deal over something so small and insignificant towards the goodness of a game.

Nuke Star found a bug where you start flying (actually more staying at the same altitude in the Air) :D I'm not entirely sure how I did it, but it happened only twice during combat as I walked on a flat object. Try it out and make sure there is a hill nearby so you can get on your horse and get normal again

I love what the devs set out to do and I was prepared to suffer some bugs but I kept getting hard crashes, and for a game with a limited save system, that meant a lot of backtracking. Of course they're a small team making a huge game in an inherently bug-prone genre and people's mileages will vary and so on, but at the very least you'd expect the game to be playable :/. I bought it at full price and don't regret it but I'll shelf it for now and go back to Monster Hunter while it's getting patched.

I had trouble with lockpicking at first now I open every easy without fail but my skill isn't high enough to go very hard. Just had to level lockpicking up its pretty easy now I understand it

Fast forward 2 days but do any of you guys have the game? So hyped for it too but unsure as I've heard of a lot of bugs its not something that would stop me from playing a great game though.

So far I've absolutely loved this game. The first time I played it I spent about 4 hours on it and only got through the intro scene due to all the exploring I was doing. The realism is great, which I love in a game. Which isn't for everybody. But the only thing I don't like is the saving system. Only way you can manually save is by drinking savior snaps (I think that's what it's called) or sleeping and if something comes up you can't just save quick and get off.

The quest tracker is actually still pretty much a hand-holder, although it may not illuminate every possible option, if you just talk to all the people surrounding a quest you can add that stuff to your log. Little easier and more restrictive than I thought it'd be. Also as far as I know you can't become a blacksmith per se you can just buy repair kits or use the grind stone but you don't actually craft anything, aside from potions (alchemy system is cool though). Maybe I'm not far enough though. Biggest frustration is the target switching doesn't seem to work the way it's sold although you can just unlock target and then face the person you want.

50 hours of gameplay xD. I played 30 hours at the so called "tutorial".

I honestly haven't watched a Force gaming video since Diablo 3 came out, still one of the best around. Smooth and professional! :)

The thing I would want is to be able to change the controls such as rather than double tapping circle to have your horse sprint, I prefer it to be L3 so that I would be able to look around more freely. Anyhow I'm not worried as things will improve in the future but as of now I absolutely love this game!! Thank you for creating such beautiful stunning art.

yeeeah... I remember all that blacksmithing and smelting I did at the alchemy bench...

I was traveling in the countryside and found a point labeled “Accident”. Being on a horse I went back to take a look at what it was. There was a woman wearing a witch’s hat and on a broom dead on the ground in a pile of blood. I looted her corpse and found potions including one named the “witch’s potion”. Just though this was quite interesting the developers put this little bit in the game :)

I really like it ! After the let down of a game that was For honour I was looking for something to scratch that medieval itch !! And this does the trick for me . I hope others give it a chance !

Force, you make some pretty good videos. Thanks for these, this was really informative toward my purchase. If there was a way to buy this game while giving you some sort of referral, I'd totally do it. I believe with the infusion of funds that this game is getting with it's release, they'll hopefully release some patches or even hotfixes to fix some of the "jank". I certainly hope they do. I am looking to pick this up tomorrow. Thanks again, Force, for such a great video.

question: theres a mercy killing button, why should I not mercy kill? is there a chance they survive?

ehhh... devs must fix random crashing, arrows going through the enemy and the thing when you headshot with a bow, even tho he doesnt have any headgear he is all fine and you need like 3 more arrows to kill him

Its a good game but it has alot of problems 1.. my screen has a yellow tint thx to it. 2. stealth sucks because AI are psychic and know your every move. 3. Stealth kills alarm everyone within 100ft or more. 4. saving is only possible with expensive potions sleeping and at the beginning of a quest. 5. every conversation take sometimes up to 5-10 seconds to load 6. some of the quests are bugged.

Bainin Red you can brew those expensive potions for free with an Alchemy bench. They give you the recipe for them. Nettle is abundant and I usally only buy the Belladona plant from the herbalists because I have yet to find the plant in the wild. Also when you are sneaking how much noise does your character have? Armor and clothing makes noise. Hell even how fast you crouch walk can alert them.

Ive played this game for 11 so far on pc and ive had no framerate issues and 1 bug which was a levitating merchant in the forest. The story so far is great and the gameplay is fun and challenging especially once you start levelling up your combat skills. By far the best open world rpg ive played.

I'm addicted to this game now. It's not always perfect but I love it.

Game got bugs, sure, for something of this magnitude then of course it has bugs, but guess what? Not nearly as many bugs as youy would find in any Bethesda game

This game is fucking good. Go buy it .

The game is absolutely amazing, best game i have played in years. I have had very little bugs however, only the occasional pop in so i hope that when they fix all of the major bugs more people will be able to enjoy this gem as i have been doing for the past 2 days.

Its a great single player game that has a medieval setting and a much advanced combat. Go look up some gameplays of people fighting, questing etc. Also stay away from reviews since this game just came out today and many reviewers rush which their only impressions are “too dull” or “way realistic”

Other then the save system, I love this game! I appreciate the unique save mechanics but with the several glitches I have found that instantly killed me, something needs to be done

For once we don’t get children’s game that isn’t Overwatch or Battle royal. This game is the reason I dusted off my Xbox One 👍🏼

I can deal with the bugs, I can deal with slow paced quests. What I’m currently struggling to deal with is the combat. No matter how much I train it doesn’t seem to help, I can best Bernard but go out and get floored by a bandit with no shoes and a wood axe. I’d like there to be a difficulty adjust, purely so I can make my way through the story.

MoonBoone this is the way to deal with many other enemy . Run around and shot em with bow . Trust me i win everytime with bow . If i kill mostly all of them but one i will duel with sword and shield xD

That is what I do most of the time and it tends to work, until they get close or pull me off my horse. Yesterday I put 16 arrows in to a bandit (4 were wounding arrows) and he ended up killing me! It was probably just bugged or something but still annoying. I feel like an enemy health bar would be beneficial and I don’t think it would ruin the game in any way, there is a HUD after all.

Just some quick tips. Don't swing wildly, when you run out of stamina; back the fuck up and recollect yourself. Don't even try to use swords against plate, use a mace. Make sure you have enough STR and/or agility to use the weapon. You can equip weapons that you're not strong enough to use, but their effectiveness is greatly reduced. Wait for an opening and capitalize on it. Try to get a quick stab (RMB on PC) and go from there. Hit from different angles. If the enemy manages to keep blocking your hits even after you switch sides a few times, wait for him to initiate and get a stab in before he hits you. Happy hunting fellas.

There are a few glitches, none of them game breaking for me so far. Every once in a while certain glitches force me to reload or a game crashes when playing for too long, so it's important to save often with sleep and saviour schnapps. If you want to RP hard, sleep only in lodgings (the mill, talmberg) and in taverns to save progress, like a real wayfarer. I'm 53 hours in, bogged in quests, and there seems to be no end in sight.

Good video. You showed it, but you should have mentioned the unique "fast travel" system.

bjorntor Sure but first you need to learn how to build it and since it's ultra realistic that will take some time effort and money. I mean literal years probably. Cutting down trees, carrying stones etc. The winters will be great fun to reenact as a true RP. Winters were cold as fuck then and you know why it's called the dark ages right. Because winters were just that, pitch black. So imagine this cool scenario in the most realistic game ever made about anything ever. You've been working on your house all winter, you're mentally and physically drained. You can't see shit because winter. Your wife is sick in black plague and you just been drafted by some asshole in a castle to go die in a minor conflict you have nothing to do with. Medieval realism rules.

If building your own house is not in the base game then what the hell! How realistic is that. Oh and by the way you probably would never build your own house by yourself, not during the winter at least. Most buildings were communal projects and they were pretty much built one by one in the smaller villages. bjorntor and no, you will not be building any houses, nor owning any, you unlock quite a few beds and bedrooms but no, no houses

you also need to know that the lockpick system is fucked and you have to tap in to all sections of your brain to break an ‘easy’ lock. Your fingers have to work overtime just to even consider actually picking one of the locks.

90% of your brain must be sectioned off for crack euphoria. Lockpicking isn't hard and just like every other skill in the game it gets easier as your character levels skills. Not a game for instant gratification and easy casual gameplay like Skyrim.

Im really enjoying this game but it's not for everyone and it does some minor texture pop in. I love everything about the game from the motion captured combat to reading books and i recommend reading everything in the codex it because there's so much info about medieval life in there. So if you want a realistic medieval experience then this game is for you

I already downloaded a mod which avoids that silly save system the developers chose.

Kinda, but saving via sleeping/drinking potion is very odd in today's gaming environment. To have hours worth of gameplay vanish because you died of something pretty minor or say running into a group of Cumans which you can encounter while fast travelling who can kill you pretty easily due to their numbers and having to retread those steps can be quite annoying, especially in early game and you can only sleep in beds you own to save. And insults? really? Very mature.

Star Wars Chronicler You can literally brew your own potion so as long as YOU take the time to brew potions you can save any time you like pussyboy. Also maybe make better choices? Remember to nap a few hours at an inn to save after some time of playing. Inns are 2 coin save spots. And they are EVERYWHERE. Silly save system.. you must be 16. Gamers these days jeez.

I've already completed it twice. One with the save system and one with it modded. It felt out of place in an action RPG and (not that they are right) but several reviewers also mentioned it's strange implementation. I love this developer so don't take my comment as an insult against them. For the record, I don't play either Call of Duty or Fortnite, interesting comment, as mine is over 10 months old and Fortnite only reached is popularity recently.

Best game for educating history! Loving it and Im proud I came from these ancestors and born in our beautiful country Bohemia (nowadays Czech Republic)

Playing the game now and the video is pretty spot on. It is clearly a middle-sized project with limited budget (definitely not AAA, maybe A+). There's some animation jank but the environments are drop dead gorgeous. Best forests ever made. And the night is actually dark lol. I've never played a game like this, it has elements from Skyrim (open-world sandbox, Radiant AI), Witcher 3 (cinematic, great story and characters) and many deep immersive systems of stealing and survival. If that appeals to you, I'd personally wait a month or two for the devs to iron out various technical issues (nothing game breaking or dramatic but sometimes annoying). But definitely grab it as soon as possible. It's a really unique, hard-to-describe experience and likely a cult classic going forward.

I really struggled the first time I played it, really tried to be the great hero who's tough and honourable. Only to be weak, shit and terrified of getting into a battle because I'd always get my arse handed to me . It felt like a chore to do everything. Got to the first ambush bit and it must have taken me a million tries as I didn't have any heavy armour for it and my fighting skill was trash, I stopped playing. Nearly five years later I'm playing it again and I'm totally in love with the game, started a new game and just took everything in, I learned to play it how it was supposed to be played which is anyway you want! To succeed early I was dishonourable taking any shortcut I could, I would sneak into camps at night and just end them in their sleep. I steal everything!! So I had amazing loot to prepare for fights, I learned how to use the alchemy bench so I can make as many saviour schnapps as I please. I'm now quite levelled and pretty much a master with the longsword, I enjoy engaging in battle now. My tip for new players is get a mace, it literally mangles enemies and gives you a better chance against much more skilled fighters or if your outnumbered.

Wasn't sure about this game when I got it.. but I can honestly say that it is PURE gold & well worth the money. An absolute MUST-HAVE if you're into open world RPG's.

I think this game if awesome, the way I'm going through this game is like a noble knight saving all the town's folk from bandits. I feel i don't run into that many glitches... but I think thats because I'm on console. You really get immersed in the game because how real it is, for example I was rideing my horse and these bandits attacked me, when they seen my bloody sword and my shiny armor they surrendered because they were so scared.

Something I wish I'd known 200 hours ago, if you hold down 1 it equips/unequips a torch.

So from what I take, it's a wait to buy?

I’m in love with this game. My only real problem has been the save game issue, but aside from that, it’s great! Just a rather sharp learning curve

Bob Kelso sorry, it’s not really an issue, I was referring to the odd saving features; you can only save when you sleep or if you drink a special alcoholic beverage. I’ve lost a lot of progress because after completing a quest I try to get to a bed to sleep (save game) and get absolutely schooled by a group of bandits on the road. Really it’s not an issue, I just find it a tad annoying.

Think about if they had it another way though. If u could save anytime and anywhere thered really be no challenge. U could just reload if u mess up and cheese the game. The way it is makes the player think about their next move and feel an actual sense of risk and loss. In other games if u die oh well no big deal I can load it back up and not lose anything. This game makes death more meaningful bc of the save system.

It's nothing short of perfect. Some people don't like it and see it as a grind, but that's realism for you, in real life, you can't pick up a sword and be a sword master just like that, or pick up a bow and hit your targets easy. This is what I love about this game, you HAVE to learn, if you don't then you won't get far.

Take it from me, this game is amazing. The combat is really difficult and you have to practice a lot if you want to be beating bandits and the like. The story telling is somewhat, "eh"... but the gameplay itself is just wonderful. Also, I managed to activate my 1080 SLI for this game. Just add Kingdom Come Deliverance on your Crysis 3 profile in Nvidia Inspector and it should work wonders.

I'm excited for this game but the only thing I needed to know is, that it takes everything from my current system even on lower graphics.

Some fact checks. Blacksmithing was removed as a concept and gameplay element very early in the development phase. Smelting is not a related discipline either. Neither exist in KCD.

Got about 20 hours into the game now. The game is great, one of my new favorites. However... the combat is difficult, and leveling skills will make it better. So right away you feel your character is weak because he is. progression is slow, and be ready to spend time just leveling abilities. Pick all the flowers, herb and mushrooms around a village get leg day=strength. Spend time training with practice swords=strength and sword ability. Hunt for a while to better archery. There is a lock picking chest at the first miller level your ability there. These safe ways of leveling will make the later game more fun.

I am 32 hours into this game and stopped the story line to do a hunch of side quests because I live the feel for how side quests improve what you can do in the main story

I absolutely love this game and have never played a game like it. I was about 10 or so hours in and I've started noticing a few things. For example I tried stabbing a couple of bandits from horseback in one incident and one ran off and I tracked him down and unmounted and he just stood there. In another example I went to sir hans in the bathhouses and theresa just randomly showed up at night time and got all in my way. And on top of that it wouldn't allow me to speak to hans to continue the quest. So I've deleted it all and am going to start back at the beginning. The game is insanely fun and to me npcs have personalities and quirks that makes me want to appease to them and earn their respect. I love the game but it is. Quite buggy at times

I tried it first on a console and I liked the immersion and detail, but I hated how the console was ported. Combat and lockpicking were really hard and the UI was clunky on a controller. I didn’t play too much of it because of it but now I got it on PC and it’s one of the best games I’ve played. I don’t usually get too into a single game, I usually dont finish the story. But this is really one of the only games I’ve played that I want to go back and play.

Just got it for free from epic games when they had it for free, and now a small part of me feels bad that i didn't paid for the game. The only issues i had so far, on a pretty high end desktop, were a lighting issue/bug, and a deer spawning right in front of me while on a hunting quest. But the realism of the game that i'm barely scratching the surface of had me hooked up on it. I imagined it like, playing Counter Strike for a good time, then suddenly you're playing ARMA 3. One word of advice for anyone reading this, the game's world, DOES NOT, wait for you. Granted, not in all cases, but in some important ones, you either need to be quick about your things or lose it. It really took me from the usual RPG mindset. Questing, looting, selling and repeating, when at a moment i failed a part of a quest (and not the WHOLE QUEST) because i was taking my sweet time selling loot.

Great game. Yes there are some bugs but overall its a truly immersive medieval experience. I only wish they would add more roaming and threatening animals to the forests. Random npcs could use more dialogue. This game has immense potential. Dlc for France vs England 100 years war? Or maybe go east to the Ottomans. One can dream!

In my 20 or so hours in the game so far, did I miss something? You said if you want to get into blacksmithing then start smelting...I'm pretty sure there's no smelting or smithing, just repairing. And you don't even use components for that, just kits and/or a sharpening wheel (I forget what it's called)

Haven’t had many bugs in this game...also as someone who rarely play single player games since i think they are boring, I have to say this game’s story is good the whole feel to the game is amazing. First single player game I have put actual time in to complete since the witcher 3, it’s that good for me

I like the game just dont lke how if you start attacting a cow or dog they just sit there while youre hitting them. They dont even react to the strikes until their dead....

DEADLY its all animals, i go out hunting a deer and they stand their, animals dont react getting shot at unlike people funny enough.

Only problem right now that is facing the game from what i played (PS4) is its bugs. The event triggers are a bit off. The textures look nasty af sometimes. And the lip sync is off the majority of the time characters speak. If they iron these problems out id say this game would be pretty solid.

*Horse in this game cant even climb a rock. Horse in Skyrim can climb a fucken mountain.*

You could not do that back when the game first came out
