If you only have a bow line on the dock and the stern floats out away from the dock you can just wrap the bow line around a dock piling or dock cleat in front of the boat. Then turn the prop toward the dock and put the motor in reverse. The motor will bring the stern of the boat right over to the dock while pulling against the bow line and hold the bow tight to the dock.

Some of us get that, hell with a mid cleat line and a boat hook I can do it solo but what fun is it watching somebody that knows what they're doing? 🤣

I've made the same comment on so many of these videos! Lol. Just cleet the bow and pop it in reverse. The stern will gently swing to the dock....

If people would learn to use the center cleet they would realize how easy it is to dock a boat properly.

It’s amazing how few boats here in Mn come with a center cleat. It’s usually an aftermarket add on .

Hey bronco another great one. I do not believe the white truck with the help and running engines were actually in gear. The benefit of that is if one of his help fails he can immediately jump in and gain control of the vessel. What you're saying about that wash is very critical to the ramp and a lot of people don't realize the damage it can do to trailers. It also builds up mounds and soft material so quit doing it people. I think this is a fair job by this captain. No damage to ramp or boat in gear without someone at the helm.

Is it against the law in Florida to have lines ready before you get to the dock?

If the captain is not at the helm, the motor should not be running that way, you are sure no accident can happen

I am surprised that your boat ramps don't have floating docks.

That trailer is floating because they failed to release the back straps. You can see them still attached.

Can never understand why people don't install mid cleats, they work so easy in docking a boat

I don't think they are worried about floating debris, they are worried about putting their vehicle wheels onto a wet ramp, with the risk of sliding into the water.

I don't understand why they don't use 2 lines to pull the boat to the dock. One for the bow and the other for the stern. Do this every time and have never had one issue like all these numnuts do.

The lady with the dog and the kayak was making it all too easy for the croc to have himself a full-size hotdog dinner. Pets should really be restricted on days when high tide at the boat ramps causes disappearing boat ramps.
