King Tide Waves Crash Over Pacifica Pier & Chit Chat Cafe, December 2020
These are highlights of the incredible king tide waves at high tide on December 14th, 2020. This was the first time in four years of filming the waves that they crashed completely over the cafe. Tragically, this King Tide caused multiple tragedies. Stay safe and never turn your back on the ocean, especially when the waves are this big. Maverick's was also going off this day.

The restrooms at the Chitchat have never been cleaner.
I first learned to surf there at 12 years old in 1962. EVERY wave looked that big back then !

I love Pacifica. Too bad it’s so darn expensive to live there. Even rent is high. It’s pretty. And Mori Pt is so beautiful. I hiked it for the very first time this weekend. I visited Pacifica so many times and I never knew Mori was even there 🤦🏽♀️

I have. It's not something u want to try and beat for sure. It is beautiful ❤️🌹 esp in SF. This b a bit south. Had relatives who lived there 🌉🌉💖🌹🏡🏠

My husband and I walk there a few times a week, he got knocked over by a wave and his hat, sunglasses and mask were wiped off his head! 😂
