Reportedly 28-30 ft tidal waves were pounding California's coastal line during the December 28-30th window. For those who question the term "tidal wave":
"...A tidal wave is a regularly reoccurring shallow water wave caused by effects of the gravitational interactions between the Sun, Moon, and Earth on the ocean. The term "tidal wave" is often used to refer to tsunamis; however, this reference is incorrect as tsunamis have nothing to do with tides..."

Fantastic footage. I've spent a lot of time in Pacifica walking down that street and fishing on that pier and I've never seen the water that high. I'd love to be on the pier in these conditions, lol. I'm sure the view from the top of the cliff must be spectacular as well.

Yep. Those waves could easily pull them in never to be seen again. Water is strong people don’t realize.
