I have so much respect for these guardsmen and horses ❤they have to endure so much threw their working day 😊their patience is amazing because we all need to remember these are working soldiers not objects to just keep approaching it should be allowed ,take photos but from a distance ❤

Leider bekommt das Pferd, durch das ziehen am Zügel immer einen bösen Ruck im Maul. Besser wäre es, wenn das Pferd Mal kurz zuschnappen würde, damit diese blöden Touristen merken würden, das es für das Pferd nicht toll ist, ständig begrabbelt zu werden.

I'm sure those guards are chick magnets. I hope they have the best of the best when they grow up.

All respect to everyone. The youngsters behave wonderfully as do the Guards and the beautiful horses.

There is always that one straggler that doesn't think they need to move and or move so slow.

This is my fav guard, he's watching what's going on and fights with his mouth which I find attractive xx

This guard is always kind, except you take the reins, he can be very loud haha.

It's such a wonderful sight. Just wish the tourists would appreciate that they are working. Sooo many people there!

The horses know when it's time for their shift to end.I really think a NO touching the horses should be added to the sign.

Yes, second guard is top drawer. Alway so keen and attentive.

I respect the King’s guards and most of all the horses. Please don’t grab the reins and don’t agitate the horses. Have horses of my own and they are in misery having to stand so long. Some horses are easily spooked which could end up in someone being hurt. Respect them always❤

Arghhhhh....it's not a petting zoo....those men and horses are working.

Every time someone pets the horses, they nod their heads and turn in their direction. I think that's their way of saying " Please take this thing off of my head it's hurting my mouth."

Love these guards and their horses but that poor lad always seems to have issues with his chin strap on his helmet, the horses made me.chuckle they were like 2 nosey neighbours looking down the street to see what was happening lol.x

It’s not a chin strap it’s a face strap, originally designed to protect the face from sword blows. That’s why you don’t see the straps being worn under the chin.

I’ve never seen anything like that, ever! I’ve had plenty of opportunity, both my father and my brother were in the Blues and Royals and I’ve spent a fair amount of time in both Combermere and Hyde Park Barracks.

A beautiful guard.

I can honestly say that I’ve never seen an on duty guard, mounted or on foot, fidget around so much, I’ll be surprised if he hasn’t been told about it.

They do! My brother asked my mum to take his into the cleaners whilst he was parked on double yellows, she went to pick it up and nearly fell over! 😂

The way people touch the horses is like a fly buzzing around their faces. It must be so annoying for these poor animals.

Is that one guard doing something that he shouldn’t be and that’s chewing something or as he got a problem with his chin strap?

The Life Guards don’t have a chin strap as such, it goes across the face, the Blues and Royals do have a chin strap.

I'm more used to the crowds in New York City, there they don't hang around unless some movie star is there. Tour buses all over. A crowd like that would be considered a small riot. The cops on horses in the city are not so polite. I can't imagine anyone in New York standing around talking pictures of a soldier on a horse either. Maybe the Budweiser Clydesdales, but they pull beer wagons. 😂

You’d be grateful to them if there was a war, they’re fully trained soldiers on Ceremonial Duty, not there as toys for tourists!
