A vegan version to the cruncy kfc that i posted last month. Been experimenting with batters and this one was way better than using egg. I forgot to capture the addition of salt in the batter and in flour so make sure to add them before frying . Have a go at these warm nuggets and let me know what you think of them.😀

Hi Kavitha, thank you for the comment 😃. Now , Rice flour is naturally gluten free so it would not bind well to the mushrooms is what I think . If you do it in the wet batter first, it'll definitely work. I don't buy pre-mixed gluten free mixes because I'd rather control what I'm eating. Tapioca or rice works perfectly. I wish I could post a photo of mine battered with tapioca. It was very crunchy.

My kids hate mushrooms but this is the only way they consume it ...😜 and i keep trying to get creative with it because I love mushrooms and i am not even vegan 😊.

@@TheFettuck Dear TheFettuck - People chose veganism or transition to plant based foods for couple of reasons 1. Many quit animal products because they find factory farming cruel and inhumane 2. Some simply view veganism as a healthy diet : one inherently low in fat, calories, and cholesterol and high in fiber and vitamins. 3. Its better for environment . So if you are for following it for Reason No : 1 , I respect your choice I am transitioning so I follow it for Reason No : 2 , that does not make me any less of a vegan. In the end, we respect each other choices and just because one refers to a "term" that is non vegan does not mean the action is performed. I get these kind of thoughts from fellow vegans but we should slowly help people convert to healthy eating which seems to sway people more into adopting this type of lifestyle than to press onto other reasons.
