I just love that it focus on Wukong's perspective. Some of the fandom tends to be hard on Wukong without even knowing JTTW, as an impulsive person myself I really relate to him.. and it's just so stupid how much he got almost treated like a dog by his mentor at some point just because of him being impulsive. Guanyan was nearly the only person in Wukong's life who actually treated him like a person and not a problem and I really appreciate that.. Wukong may have done a lot of bullshit in the Celestial Realm, but let's not forget that being impulsive isnt always something you can control, it litteraly can be a trait of bipolarity at some point, which is why I personally hate when people judges Wukong without even knowing JTTW first. The animation is amazing and it really fits with the music, great job!❤❤

Well said! And this is unrelated but, nearly half the fandom saying Wukong was "abused"/"traumatised" is just the bane of my existence up to now! In LMK, you can see that Wukong started out reluctant at first, but changed like the pilgrims. Sure, he made mistakes and we all do, but what else could Tripitaka to do when surrounded by demons 10x more powerful than him. And to be clear, most of the scenes of JTTW in LMK shows him happy with his friends

Guanyin was the one who made sure he got arrested in the first place, though.

At 1:51 WuKong was brutal as he attacks Macaque, it really showed how angry he was and Macaque was truly fighting for his life during it! This is so good!

Holy heck, this might be the first time i've seen a LMK animatic that stays true to it's JTTW origins! The way you animated the fight is just so smooth, and beautiful??! It's everything i would've imagined what their fight in JTTW would be like! And, the way you drew the expressions of the characters are just as great?? I love, LOVE the way you interpreted the Six Eared Macaque here as the true bastard he is. I rarely see any content that portrayed him as his original JTTW self, so this is such a cherry on top! You deserve more appreciation, bro - because, this is literally so underrated! Kudos to you, broski! 👍

I rarely see a monkie kid animatic that is complete (uses most of a song). And this has stunning movement and action! My favorite part has got to be macaque's scenes, especially the end, oh my heart-

2:11 cracked me up over how they both ACTUALLY fought to get everywhere else (the damn celestial realm, to Gaunyin, to Tripitaka/Tang Xuanzang and the gang, even to King Yama and the underworld itself 💀)

My favorite part is when a brand new stone monkey fires his Lazer eyes at the Jade Emperor. Just, the ominous smile of the Jade Emperor's face, the Monkey King's concerned face shifting to determination right before he fires the Lazer eyes.

I like that at the end where we see Wukong that we also see Mk switching out with him for a few frames at the end

This is incredible and I can't believe that it's only got eight views (at least that's what it says on my screen right now). I hope that this blows up because it's really well done and deserves some major attention!

@@DoodilyJAM welp, I just read the comic, and it's GODD TIER QUALITY ARTSTYLE. Like, yeah, I am a bit confused with what's happening, all I know is not the mayor actually is the mayor but not now, Bai Lu is the daughter of the Mayor, Macaque is awesome(and def hot) in your designs of his, and overall it's very stylish. But if there's one thing that confuses me, it's kinda hard to understand what's happening. That's aight, because I am enjoying the plot currently. But, could you give a basic description of the story for me? I do want to include your comic in the vid if you let me, but I feel like it'd be helpful if I could recite a basic rundown, y'know? For me and future audience! Sorry for the long ahh comment. You have done wonderfully on it!

It's actually cooler when in JTTW Macaque's lore, he can *hear the future* , as if he can hear MK years before he even existed

And here I thought this was ages ago's 😳 Anyway, YOW, I can't believe the things I understood thanks to watching some of OSP's animated JTTW lol. But WOWWWW. Please stop the Wukong abuse. :( All he wanted was... I actually don't know, but man probably just wanted to live on his Fruit Mountain peacefully after gaining immortality or sumn.

This deserves so much more recognition!!! Srsly cheers mate! This animation is AMAZING and would look even more incredible if ever finished- Plus the song fits Monkey King / Sun Wukong (idk if I spelled his name right) perfectly- Edit: I also love that before 1:40 Wukong is with Guanyin because from the original Journey to the West (which I just noticed is what the animatic is about) because he ran to her so she could deal with the demons he has difficulty defeating, but here Wukong ran to her upset after being long story short exiled for a mistake by Tang Sanzang or Tripitaka- Like ouch! I'd like to say, either way, if my interpretation is right or not I'm still in love with this!! OH and then there is the fact Macaque disguised himself as Sun Wukong and hurt Tripitaka and when Sun Wukong came back with Guanyin after being told about an imposter he tries to help and is still turned down by the monk to come back! Even after everything he did for the monk, which he wasn't doing voluntarily at first, the fillet was the one thing really keeping him there but he still came back even after being told they would find a way to remove it so he didn't have to come along anymore, also Sun Wukong and Tripitaka's characters were still going through character development or something so Guanyin talked some sense into the monk and had to realize after all this they need one another for the journey, like seriously these two need marriage counseling /j (this is a joke lmao) and also the fact Macaque and he weren't friends at all and he was brutally killed for pretending to be Sun Wukong! (poor monkey)(I sympathize with Macaques character in the recent adaptations like Monkie Kid for example but idk)

All the parts seem to fit well with the beat, especially the fight scenes!! I also love Tripitaka looking so done with Wukong, and the fight with Macaque was top tier!!! I hope this gets more recognition that it deserve cuz its 😤😤👌👌!!
