Shen Woo is Chinese. He's from Shanghai. Orochi is obviously Japanese. He's a god in Japanese mythology. I think Rugal and his kids are German. And Foxy is Venezuelan .

Hey thanks for watching and commenting 🙏 Shen was raised in Shanghai but we don't know for sure where he was born. The legend of the spirit of Orochi appeared in Japan but on the official database the character Orochi doesn't have a birthplace. Also there are not official origins of Rugal, his kids and Foxy.. Why Venezuelan? I'm interested in that! 😊

@@thenightmare7490 I don't know her story, but in her official profile, it says she is from Venezuela. I guess NESTS agents come from different parts of the world. Angel is Mexican and Krizalid Irish.

I think Luong is from Vietnam. And Leona is Brazilian because in the story, heidern found Leona in a small village in Brazil and adopted her, and goenitz is her possible father.

I'm pretty sure Takuma being born in Japan is right, but his kids were probably born in south town, and were definitely raised there. K9999's new identity being Krohnen McDougal could just be a fake name, but considering Krizalid was from ireland, Krohnen being Scottish is possible. Darli's birthplace is definitely unknown, all we know is that she was raised in madigascar. Rugal Bernstein's last name is very likely german, and while it's a stretch, Heidern kinda gives me german vibes as well. Lastly, Leona is very likely Brazilian, since a lot of Japanese people moved to Brazil (such as Leona's father when he was on the run from the orochi clan), and Heidern's base is in brazil. So you’re right about the very likely possibility of K49 being Scottish due to McDougall, and I’ve sorta thought of the same things as you when it comes to Rugal, Heidern and Leona, Takuma is in fact from Japan, but it is also true that Ryo was only raised in America, not born there, as he was born in Japan. I’m unsure about Yuri, though- And as she’s younger than Ryo, there is a chance she may have been born in America.

Wouldn't it be possible for her to be hispanic? Leona means "female lion" in Spanish, while in Portuguese it's "Leoa". She could be from Spain or a Latin American country.

Heidern found Leona as a child during a mission in Brazil.

kukri could be from Western Sahara since it comes from North Africa but being a country with limited recognition we were only given that location

not totally confirmed but I had read somewhere Vice is from Eastern Europe while Mature is from Sweden or Finland. Leona is from Brazil. Goenitz is from Switzerland. But thats what I read somewhere else.

There's a big problem with this. SNK only lists birthplaces. A nationality is something different and heritage is yet another. Only in a few cases, the "SNK's" have made annotations about nationality and or heritage, like Benimaru being half American, or Shen Woo being raised in Shanghai or Xiangfei being effectively American even though she has Chinese heritage. Anything else that can't be proven with official stuff (i.e. the nationality of all the Sakazakis, Robert and Richard Myer being American because they reside in South Town, which is in the US) is just crazy fan theories that should not be spread any further.

It is rumored that Luong, based on her attire hails from Vietnam, but of course, there's nothing confirmed, it's a possibility, though.

There is a certain rumor that Foxy is Venezuelan. It is not known where this rumor originated, but everything seems to indicate that it is false, there is no official material to support this (i really wanna a venezolan character though).

Shen Woo birthplace is unkown and I did include that he was raised in China, Gato turned out that I did forget him, thanks for pointing out! As for Lilly, I only include the characters that participated and were part of the main installments of the game and not the spin offs :)

Ryo is Japanese! And yes, I wanted to include the real names of the fighters as I wanted to keep the characters raw to match with the core of the origins... If the real names are of course revealed. Some more names are on the list instead of their alias.

One KZreadr said “Leona is from Spain”. But she went to Brazil with her biological father when she was little girl, then she got adopted to Heidern “I don’t know why”. I don’t know stories from Ikari Warriors and that much King Of Fighters about Leona Heidern (if there stories about Leona Heidern on comics of Ikari Warriors and King Of Fighters). Only hear the character on KZread. In the late 90s, I thought she a American (that’s what I thought back then, when I was a minor in early teens) Then later along the road, just found out on KZread; reviewing King Of Fighters characters one by one. Some people said from Devinart comment Leona “She a Brazilian Beauty”, but I clear that person that “She a Spaniard Beauty”.

Both Geese Howard and Benimaru are half American. Each one has an American parent. Benimaru has an American mother. I think Geese's mother is also American, but I'm not sure. @@poison6084 I checked the Fatal Fury Wiki. Geese and Wolfgang are half brothers. Geese Howard is definitely half German, while Wolfgang is full German. Same father, different mothers. All I had to do was go to the Fatal Fury Wiki. I looked up Wolfgang Krauser, and Geese Howard is listed as his half brother. Rock Howard (Geese's son) is listed as his half nephew.
