TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO - One of the favorite food pastimes in Trinidad is to go to the river and have what’s called a “river lime,” where you hang out with friends and family, cook some delicious food, and enjoy nature all at the same time. Today we’re heading to Caura River, where Kev is going to cook up some delicious curry goat!
Big thank you to #visitTrinidad for inviting me to Trinidad and Tobago and for making this trip happen! Guide to the things and food in this video: visittrinidad.tt/things-to-do...

Lester Nanan: Nanan Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours
We drove out to Caura River to first have our river lime. Kev was already busy in the setup tent kitchen along the riverside. On the menu, the main event was the Trinidadian curry goat, but we also had chana and potatoes, and curry duck. What I love so much about the Trinidad and Tobago curries are the layers of flavor - from the curry powder to the onions and garlic, to all the green seasoning like shadow beni and green onions and thyme. The recipes are amazing. We had an amazing feast, and I especially loved the curry goat and curry duck!
Nanan's Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours - Next in the afternoon we headed out to Nanan's Caroni Bird Sanctuary Tours for a boat tour and dinner at the amazing bird sanctuary, where scarlet ibis roost for. It was an amazing experience, and even better because we had dinner on the boat!
And that completes another amazing day of food and sightseeing in Trinidad, food and nature at its best!

Nice move to take Mark to Caura River. Please note how caura became famous on a Monday, business people who usually works on weekends saturday and Sunday used to take their day off on a Monday hence the popularity. But it's always a best lime every day in Caura....
The food looks delectable! I was a bit skeptical about the amount of curry powder used to season the meat, then I saw how he layered the flavors by adding more to the hot oil- genius! The strong Indian influence is evident in Trinidad- no wonder they have some of the best curry/cuisine in the world!
Not only was the food to die for, but I lived in Florida many years...and have only ever seen white Ibis...was a rare thing to see the red Ibis! Thank you !

This was teenage days when in trinidad now here in canada with 1 foot of snow. The world 🌎 is truly a beautiful place from God.
Beautifully presented video, the pumpkin soup, the goat meat, pork, green herbs, seafood, the nature, the plantains, the cassava, the food is so colorful. Loved the entire video. Noticed the use of actual silverware instead of plastic for obvious reasons. Safe travel Mark and the Crew.
