There's a big male cat in my hostel. It also patrols the entire hostel frequently everyday and spreads its scent mark on walls and bushes. Many times I noticed it drives away all other male cats in the hostel. I'm so amazed to see the similarities between the cats and the lions.

Its nice to see well educated people on here who actually knows about what is going on in the wild. I am sick and tired of kiddo people who say that lions or tigers or any other carnivore are weak, evil and deserve to get pwnd and all that immature way of saying things. It is wonderful to witness nature and learn from it without having any idiots around who knows nothing about wildlife.

A lion's life is not easy and doesn't mean you are a lion means you are untouchable or safe a lion always lives a conflicting life with other lions and mostly and often die by them

Male lions are ferocious. They handle hyenas with ease, female lions struggle with hyenas.

Before we are carried away by envy, I don't think that's the whole picture for the lions. Maybe on a good day yes, but they are responsible for the safety of the pride, which if it comes to it, they'll defend to their death.

Well, you have to realize how often they see humans in vehicles now. They probably think humans are part of the vehicle and not worried about it.

male lions are the protectors (they mark territory and keep their pride safe)and female lions are the hunters (thats why they have smaller frames and are all one colour)males protect females hunt but when it comes to raising their young male cubs leave mom nd go to dad once of age and taught the basics from mom how to survive and females will stay with their moms forever. BTW anyone notice that predators have eyes on front for depth perception and prey have eyes on the side for perifial vision
