This is for the ultra hard core KC fans. I would be happy with the 3 CD set. Right now I have the standard reissue. On a scale of 1-10 of hardcore KC fan, I would consider myself a 6 maybe 7. This set is for the 11's !

I have an original early (Canadian pressed) vinyl of Court Of The Crimson King. SoundsAwesome.

I'm waiting for the Deluxe deluxe Super duper deluxe squared 93 disc suitcase.

Pre-ordered the day it was announced, yet here I am still waiting. How am I enjoying the new release? Watching an unboxing.

Great Set. Session mania and live sets. Beware of the Atmos Dolby as it malfunctioned . Much of the Work replicates itself on different format (BluRay, DVD, Audio) A lot of early Greig Lake for die hard KC Fans.

Greg Lake period is the best.

its been released like almost everything else on this box. it was a king crimson collectors club disc

The set follows the same sort of details with previous box sets with added Atmos. A bit churlish to mention the plastic tray when the set is incredible value for money.

These video reviews are to give prospective purchasers a full feel for all aspects of the physical product, good and bad. If I'm not going to mention any negative aspects then I should be sending an invoice to the record label, because that's just pure marketing. I noted the cheapness of the plastic tray and also acknowledged that it was a minor quibble.

Curious, I don't know any King Crimson. I tried giving them a listen once, a concert in Japan (Prob 90's/00's) but after prob 5-10 mins I turned it off. I don;'t think I'd even heard a drum beat in that time, it was boring. Maybe it was an ultra long intro that fans know and love already, but to a newbie, I didn't get into it. I love old prog rock bands like Pink Floyd, Head Machine, and loads more. So, could you King Crimson fans give me some titles I should take a further look at? My 'Dad' rates them as his fav band but I don't really know my Dad too well. Spoken less than 10 times in 50 years ha. Pity, because I know we both love guitars!

Their debut album was my entry point. I didn't like it at first though. I'd suggest 21st Century Schizoid Man, the song In The Court Of The Crimson King, and Epitaph.

I would agree with Nick Jones and raydarable below. Also, I think a newer album that rocks is "VROOM"....

It is a very good release indeed but just for the very few specialists, those very purists and may be also for a quite very little number of people with lots of money to spend and even waste on useless stuff that not even they who paid lots of money for it are ever going to even hear it for themselves!.... let alone sharing this stuff with their families or even the very close people to them! because in this box set are being included lots of recorded material with very poor sound quality! and that it's not because of the band's fault in their sound quality or even because of their sound engineer's fault but because it was really recorded almost at the time when the stereo sound was just created! discovered or invented!.... so that was also the reason that even The Beatles were releasing mono recordings before that time! .... Therefore I completely agree with the person here that commented for this video too that it's quite incredible that the Amazon guys still expect us to pay $254 bucks for this ridiculously high priced box set! or even those 150 British Pounds that the video says it's the real cost of this box set! when you could buy that other incredible box set still around for just $35 US that even has a BD! .... or even the $10 US very normal CD album! However and nevertheless it's still a very good thing and still a very good job that these people even took lots of their attention, time and money for this very great 1969 album! 'cause it probably it's one of the very best albums ever recorded and released in the history of human race!....and considering that it was done in that very faraway year of 1969 it's still even more impressive! to say the very least! 'cause it really set the comparison bar very high for all of the other artists and bands at that time and even for the rest of the other artists and bands for the rest of human music history! Therefore they really changed the music world history for the better, I think 'cause I mean: King Crimson was really one of the very few music bands that really changed musical history forever in that very faraway year of 1969!... and in this very little group of music bands at that time I would only include also The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin!, and that's it!... Not even "Yes" or "The Rolling Stones" make it on that list because even though they were around that year too as well yet they started creating an releasing their best material a few years later! ...but this very first album of "King Crimson": "In The Court of The Crimson King" really set the music quality standard so high that not even they were able to make an album with similar music quality to this very first album from them! let alone to make a better album than this one! .... therefore it is a very good tribute for this very special album this very special 26 CD + 2 DVD box set! .... however I would have liked more and even probably would have buyed before some other normal CD box set containing all of the "King Crimson" albums up to this date!....and last but not least I would specifically and specially recommend very much two songs of this album: "21th Century Squizoid Man" and "Epitaph",..... I was just listening to them yesterday and man! they really sound incredible even today! ....and that is more than 51 years after this incredible music was created!, recorded and released!..... I mean: this guys really were very ahead of their own Time! .... because it's still incredible to hear how this incredible music still makes perfect sense even today! still in this very troubled and even very pandemic times! ....sometimes it even seems to me as if the more we advance in Time and in the human kind history is also the more that this special music makes even more sense! ....such an incredible timeless masterpiece in every single way!.... in their music, in their lyrics, in their meaning, ....even in their prophethically incredible power!..... Totally amazing! ....

Fantastic boxset, other artists can take this one as a how-to. The music, was not familiar with King Crimson, didn't turn me on, unfortunately...

Keep listening to the song Epitaph and the rest will fall into place eventually. This is absolutely essentially music but it took me a while to grasp

Ι used to buy everything King Crimson until about 10 years ago. Since then, I can't afford to buy shit. I even sold and I still sell quite a number of my collection because my steady income is minimal and i need a little extra money to be able continue living just by the border to misery. So, SORRY Bobby, but NO MONEY ! OVER AND DONE WITH ! FINISHED ! KAPUT !

Here's the thing about accumulating a collection (ie. you actually BOUGHT the REAL CD's, albums, etc. rather than just ripping stuff OFF from the internet), when you hit a dire financial time....you had stuff to sell...and get your money back to help support yourself. This IS why I only buy the REAL media (ie. albums and CD's..) and don't just own a bunch of worthless MP3's....or music files. At least I have "the physical" which I can always sell.....

But even now I would buy CD* albums if i could afford them.. but alas ! *Not vinyl records though. I have grown too old to trouble myself with this beautiful but most inconvenient means of enjoying music.

@@theo9952 I"m 56 by the way. I understand where you are coming from. I rarely buy albums anymore. Do I play my albums that I have - yes -at least once every two weeks or more. I continue to buy CD's primarily. You'll get back on your feet. Just be glad you had the stuff to sell.

I'm a little bit pissed off really. Brought the first of the box sets a few years back. This album, with disks in individual plastic cases, in box with book and badges with Steven Wilson 5.1. At the time we were told by Mr Fripp that it was the last word on this album. Now this, with loads of poor quality live bootlegs and the final word on this album. Heard that before, had enough, I'm sticking with the original first box. Most of this box will only get played once, it sounds poor. You can have too much of a good thing.

You can quit whining .....I have bought the entire Zeppelin catalogue 3 times (album, gray square boxed set, the re-releases with all the extra tracks). Each one was pretty well worth it at the time......wanna buy my gray boxed set though?
