Writing notes on the popup window rather than directly on a book does have the advantage that you have all the space you need, something you wouldn't have if you tried writing in tthe book's tiny margin.

The reason they don't let you write directly on regular Kindle books, is Whispersync (reading across multiple devices). If you write a note directly on a book on the Scribe.... then read it on a Paperwhite, or your phone.... the note won't be in the correct spot. They'd have to have some sort of notation that links to the note. I bought the 16GB version, filled it up with a bunch of books and notebooks as well as some PDF to annotate and I have 11.21GB of 11.89GB of free space left (rest is used by the OS I am guessing). When would you ever need 64GB?

Most people do not need more than 16gb

If you want to read graphic novels or comic books or need to have lots of college textbooks - which not many people do on a B&W screen, you may want more storage. But even then, 16GB is plenty.

the text is very small but you can pinch, aren't we not enough pampered yet?, but i do want to thank you for the ''word'ms office ' modification with the margins
