Hi Angelina, I love my kindle too.

Read the user guide that is found in the kindle device and it will explain how every feature works. You have to turn on whispersync on both the app and the kindle. If you sideload a book, to have the whispersync work you have to use the sendtokindle services for it to work.

You have to connect to wifi and manually sync although imo ive had to click it to sync a couple times cause for whatever reason emailing the books to the kindle is unfortunately pretty slow and if its the wrong format you will get an email saying its the wrong format even though they claim to support epub some just do not work until i convert to mobi then back to epub i have zero ideas why its this way but also with epub the cover doesnt show in the library but will show on the cover screen in sleep mode whereas mobi will show the cover in the library but just a black screen with the author and book title not the whole cover on the sleep screen ive heard theres ways to fix this i would highly suggest going on the kindle subreddit they have pinned posts on how to work with calibre an application on computers that will help you with the cover display issues it does go in very high detailed explanations to make it very simple to understand and its a very active subreddit so should you have any questions if you make a post you should easily get many responses within a good amount of time and ive been a member for years everyone is polite and respectful and I've had zero issues with any bullying or trolls its a very peaceful respectful community and they can absolutely answer any questions you have with detailed instructions for anything you may need to know ive gotten plenty of advice there over the years and have even posted advice for others before
