i like how they changed the male lead character into a softer one. we're already used to a very cold, stern type personality so its good that they made some changes here. come to think of it, it feels more realistic. i mean not every male are that cold, right? LOL

i feel like by changing his character they also changed how much we saw him grow. i personally liked the chinese one better because jiang chen had emotional attachment problems and seeing how persistent xiaoxi was made him grow to love her. i loved how even tho he was still cold he made sure to show that he cared for her in the littlest ways. i personally don’t believe they should have changed how cold he was lol. i hope you can see why i think this way and exchange your opinion with mines.

@@koven1318 I think this version is more realistic not every high school boy has tsundere personality so he feels more real and he had a development too just in a different way so you’ll have to pay attention but at the end it’ll be obvious how his character has changed if you look back at the 1st ep.

I remember I couldn't stop smiling watching this episode

Indeed, i love how korean version make the drama softer the original. The original is best but sometimes when i used to watch it i got mad with the man lead because of his “manly cold” action. So to see yohan being the cutest warm human being here is so cute!

Me too! I think Jiang Chen was so cold in the Chinese version because of how he felt about his parents. His mom left him and took his brother with her when she moved and his father died when he was young so he thought he'd be better off alone. Then he got attached to Xiaoxi because she was always there for him and he kept telling himself that he didn't because he was scared she was gonna leave. I think Cha Heon was more aware of his feelings than in the drama. Although the parent situation is the exact same, I believe Cha Heon realizes that he likes Sol-i faster than Jiang Chen does and doesn't try to shut her out, but he tries to stay aloof so that his feelings aren't noticeable (also because he's an introvert).

This drama never fails to make me smile like a fool. For each ep, about 20-24 minutes only but when I watch it, it becomes almost an hour just because I keep repeating some parts.

even though yohan is a newbie actor i think he did pretty well, he actually made me a fan of him being an actor to him being an idol, he’s only gonna get better moving forward especially with his new drama coming up and hopefully more i feel like he’s gonna attract more fans especially those in the late millenial to gen z range since that’s near his age unlike most idol actor nowadays who are a bit older in age

After watching the first few episodes, I prefer the Chinese version more too, as huyitian and shenyue are really good, while I think the Korean version is quite cringe and the female lead is too old. Until I watched episode 8, I think that their acting skills improved a lot. After episode 8, I started to love this drama and now, I’m addicted to this drama and the male lead-Kim Yohan! I think his acting skills keep improving, and in episode 19, he really did well and amazed me! Now I would say both versions are lovely and good! For those who think their acting is cringe, I recommend you to watch more episodes or started from episode 8or9, I believe that you will change your mind! I really hope that more people can watch this drama since it is really cute and adorable! This drama is definitely underrated. And I love yohan so much now! I watched all his variety shows and even pd404, and now I’m RUi as well, which is the fan name of his group-WEi. Lastly, sorry for my poor English... But I really want to share my feelings and views to the people who have a bad impression on the Korean ver. Thank you so much!!!!!
