Kim Scott: Just Work (Agile Insights Conversation with Sohrab Salimi)

On April 6th, we had Kim Scott as a guest at the Agile Insights Conversations. Kim is author of the books "Radical Candor" and "Just Work". This recording is the interview between Sohrab and Kim about her newest book: "Just Work".
"Just Work" will bring solutions to workplace injustice and all of its manifestations. Or are prejudice and bullying inevitable in the workplace?
Writing with the signature directness and unmistakable integrity that made her New York Times bestselling book "Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity" a worldwide smash hit, Kim Scott boldly tackles a stubborn problem harming both individuals and the larger economy in "Just Work": we-all of us-consistently exclude, underestimate, and underutilize some people in the workforce even as we over-include, overestimate, and over-promote others.
Kim Scott provides a framework that helps us identify the different attitudes and behaviors that combine to create unproductive working environments. When we can name problems, we can confront them more effectively. She doesn’t stop at bias, prejudice, and bullying. She also offers effective ways to combat the problems that occur when power enters the equation: discrimination, harassment, and physical violations.
"Just Work" is a potent antidote to inequity from an acclaimed author who was also an executive at Google and Apple. A must-have guide for employees, leaders, and organizations, it is discerning, functional, and pragmatic; best of all, it is written in good faith.
