Kiln Opening! Brand new Mayco and Amaco glazes!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

See the Brand new 2020 Mayco and Amaco glazes! I have the new potters choice glazes before you can even buy them! Amaco sent me a few samples to test out and share with you all! I LOVE the copper red glazes but the 4 coats I applied may have been a bit too much. I would suggest you only do 3 coats. Guess I'll be grinding shelves and pot bottoms later!
This is my first time using the Mayo crystal glazes and WOW!!! They are amazing and so easy to work with. Be sure to have your notebook out to write down all of the awesome combos I share in this kiln opening!

This was my first kiln opening with you, and I just wanted to say thank you...it is absolutely fantastic! I I took VERY THOROUGH notes and screen shots of the mugs to help me make my choices. After all of these videos, I'll have my work cut out for me just making a list of things to buy, LOL But it really does feel empowering. Thanks again!

When you have run and need to grind it off, what do you use to grind it off. I have not had any luck with that and still have big chunks that I can't get off. Haven't had the heart to throw them away yet. I love the muddy waters

Morning Jessica. You keep a journal of glazing. Would you share how you keep track of what you have used as quite a few of my bowls seem to have the same shape? Also....thanks for the name of the brushes you use to glaze and the carving tools. Michaels in Canada had the brushes on sale so I ordered them online. I also found a Canadian company that stocked the Diamondcore Palm Carver and had that sent to me. I am waiting for another store to restock your Chun Blue as both my husband and I love the effect. Thanks again for the great instruction videos. Keep safe.
