@Bugia React ye they should tweak the spawning a bit but turtle master can give you literally resistance 4 so it's pretty balanced with slowness 6

I've tried to kill a warden before in full netherite with enchanted golden apples and still lost. Mad respect to you.

I have a idea. There is this game called dying light and there is a really strong enemy called the voiltile and it would only attack with it's melee hits but if you got into area where they could not melee you they would spit acid and it would do a lot of damage but they only do it if they can't reach you. So maybe if the warden detects that it can't hit you then maybe it will do a attack where it shoots a projectile at you that will do damage to the player and knock the player off whatever they are standing. And my other more wierd ideas are that if it can't reach you it will spawn vexs or cause the little riptide affect that the evokers do but it looks more like skulk. And my final idea is that the warden has the apilty to go under the ground and pop back up if the player is in a hight up place. Also my final idea is that if the Warden is in low health then it's melee attack range is greatly increased to prevent players doing the golom strait on it. My favorite idea is probably the making vexs one since the warden has souls in it's chest so it just makes since. Although I think there should be a tiny chance to be able to run away from the Warden and that these ideas should be only put into place for player who are purplesly trying to kill the Warden.

Cobwebs, lava buckets and extra blocks will be the absolute most useful thing when fighting against a Warden. Water slows it down but not enough. If you have fire resistance and coat the area with lava, you have a constant set of damage paired with the slow movement in lava. Plus if you really dont want to fight it you can just place like 5 or 6 iron golems to fight them for you.

I feel like it could be such an easy fight with a haste beacon and turtle master 2 potion, you wouldn't have to go away from him for any reason and with perfect sword timing you would only need about 10-15 seconds to kill him which is less than tm's short duration, these are pretty expensive tho

Awesome! I wonder if this will still be possible when the full 1.19 comes out. Probably still possible but can't wait to see how people kill it then and how much harder its going to be

I imagine they'll patch dirty tricks like towering and lava buckets but this is literally just smacking it with a sword, then pearling away to regenerate, and repeating until it dies, I don't see how they could patch that.

Regardless of if they make this method of killing harder to do or not, it seems like you would need a lot of resources just to kill the warden...and at the end of the video another warden even spawns. So maybe the warden doesn't need any buffs. But still can't wait to see what mojang has in store for this mob and how people will kill it

@@Thete The problem here is that this costs you a lot of resources just to fight one Warden, and even then it almost killed you. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to see someone taking it on in survival but realistically, no one is going to do it that way in a real survival scenario. You'd have to be maxi prepared for a mob that would've disappeared after a minute of being quiet and that will keep respawning nearby to you so long the Skulk stuff is still around.

im happy that you can kill the warden with god gear. I was a little bit dissapointed that minecraft added a mob that you werent MEANT to kill, it detracted from the overall sandbox feel of the game for me, but seeing that it is at least possible is reassuring.

It's definitely possible. Not very useful, but possible. But given how much of a wide open sandbox is, if a mob has finite health, someone's gonna find a way to kill it.

This is amazing to see as a LOT of youtubers are getting slaughtered b ythe warden right now trying to survive against it. Request: I know you say in the description you want to try with less OP items, but can you try A. Full Prot 4 netherite, Turtle master level 2 potion for resistance 4 (because of the additional slowness 4, drink a swiftness 2 potion also to counter it )- and your choice of golden apple(absorption 1) or enchanted golden apple (absorption 4)? And maybe sharp 5 netherite axe(or sword if you prefer their attack speed over the extra damage) with strength 2 potions added in? Most players can get the above, though getting enchanted golden apples is really hard to get even in mature hardcore worlds... If you use all the above combo with , say the enchanted golden apple(absorption 4), and the warden still more or less beats you up in a straight fight... then it's hopeless for us hardcore players , and all it takes is falling from a cave onto a shrieker ....to lose everything :( On the other hand, if you can beat him with the best equipment in the game as listed above- then it proves we're not doomed yet....- Then try again with B. normal golden apples(absorption 1) (we can actually get those in survival decently, along with the rest of the equipment unlike enchanted apples) - and if absorption 1 still lets you beat him- then we might stand a chance after all. (yes, 9 end crystals to crystal cycle will get him, but it's tricky of course)(things like towering and tunneling can work for the moment, but mojang's out to stop those per their word so we really NEED a way to beat him straight up in a fight)

I do already have Protection IV netherite armor and a Smite V netherite sword in the video but I wanted to avoid enchanted golden apples since it's not realistic that the average player would have enough on them for a warden fight (I burned through 8 regular gapples)

​@@Thete that is true- though just for informational purposed a god apples' absorption 4 might make the differnce, when combined with turtle master 2 and prot 4 netherite, to breathe a sigh of relief from a damage standpoint- you're 100% right that we're more likely going to only have golden apples for absorption 1. Gotta test the Also good point, smite 5 would do more damage than sharp 5(tho a netherite axe will be more in damage- and strength 2 on netherite with smite 5 should get it in lke under 20 or 15 hits, right?)

Until the Warden actually starts emerging from the ground, you can break the shrieker, even if it has been activated, to deny him from spawning. It might change in later snapshots, though.

With a handful of turtle master potions and slowness potions, you can actually take down the Warden without any armor. All you gotta do is give the Warden the slowness potions so he can't charge at you and make sure you keep an eye on when your resistance runs out so you can replenish it with the turtle master potions.

Turtle master potions have a short duration, you'd need an entire hotbar of them and they're also the most expensive potion

Definitely agree that they're an expensive potion but you can get a lot of them with enough dedication. EDIT: Also, I'm predicting right now that Mojang is gonna make the Warden immune to status effects in a later update.

I tested that on bedrock(normal mode) to kill the warden you need 1-5 enchanted apples just to kill it. But nice vid tho

The warden can be defeated in FAIR combat with no armor, no potions, hard mode even now with the sonic boom

I honestly dare saying the sonic boom made close range Warden fight easier. Master turtle potion makes the ranged attack an almost inexistant danger, and you can now land 3 - 4 crits on the Warden while it's charging it. When the Warden keeps meeleing you, you're rapidly running out of health

With a noch apple it was going to be easier to kill him because you don’t run. You could do a lot more damage.

It's equivalent too killing the ender dragon and wither at the same time,you really need skills and strageties to be able to kill the warden,and the fact that you killed him and you almost died is crazy😅

Should be easier to kill with a maxed beacon on the surface, like if you find one of the cities just go back up and set up a beacon and with resistance 2 (40% less damage), infinite strength, regen 1, and swiftness so you can outrun the warden and strafe easier. Also jump boost for potentially easier crits and haste for faster attack speed.

1. I don't think going through the effort of making a beacon is worth the effort because if its on the surface, the effects wont even reach you, and none of them are useful besides regen and resistance. 2. You technically already have the effects you listed. For strength, you can just make strength 2 potions, for swiftness, you already got swift sneak and swiftness 2 potions ready to be used, and for jump boost, it would make it harder to crit because you'd have to wait longer just to start falling, and you can't move much when you're falling. Also, haste doesn't improve attack speed, it only improves mining speed.

The Warden will spawn regardless. If you just set it off once, it usually spawns. In Sparkle's video, he has like 4 at once chasing him down.

I mean, as long as its something that doesn't make the fight unfair (in your favor) then it wouldn't count as cheesing. Also, I think the highest level of slowness only gives you the effect for about 20 seconds.

Prot IV Thorns III Unbreaking III on the armor. Smite V, Sweeping III, Fire Aspect II on the sword.

They did buff it but even that wasn't enough to make it invincible. They also gave it a drop lol

For now, they haven't added in any mechanics that would prevent cheesing the fight like that, though I wonder if they are going to make that strategy impossible or harder in the future. Would be interesting to see the Warden counter ranged attacks in some way. Maybe trying to climb up? Or push you down?

The Warden's melee damage is so high that a weakness potion (-4 damage) wouldn't do shit. Maybe after the combat update rebalances it to -20% damage it would be worth something. Especially if they add a Weakness II potion that does -40% damage.

Now give yourself turtle master 2 and you’re officially immortal

the warden update is just entirely stupid, they make it pretty much impossible to kill, then it drops nothing at the end. Not even an advancement you get.

@@SashaMasonVR The way I see it, people only bother with advancements for bragging rights, and people are going to kill the Warden for bragging rights anyway, so they might as well acknowledge that with an advancement (which provides no ingame advantage)

Really nice to see someone taking it on in survival, but this also really shows how this isn't really feasible in a real survival scenario. You were basically maxi equipped to take it on like that and even then nearly died once, just to have another one spawn in seconds later. Though no surprise, the Warden is intentionally designed to be easier to avoid than to fight. I do still hope that we will get some sort of drop from them in the future, though. I can imagine that if you aren't maxi prepared and aren't using any cheesing tactics that it is going to be a tricky fight. Even here, you almost needed your Totem for it and a bunch of golden apples and potions. Would only be fair if you got something in return for it. This thing has almost as much health as the Wither and packs more of a punch than the Wither minus the ability to fly.

its mostly realistic in survival, apart from the stack of gapples and 3 totems that he has but he doesnt use a single totem and uses only 8 gaps

@@jonathanchen1834 Still, full Prot 4 Netherite, best sword enchantments, plenty of enderpearls, potions and golden apples. I feel like a lot of people just wouldn't be running around with that sort of stuff.

@@SashaMasonVR Maxed armor/weapons isn't really that hard to get, maybe 5 hours. Pearls are easy with an enderman farm, I get stacks and stacks that I just chuck in the void. Gap are easy as well, a gold farm can easily get you a stack in a few hours of AFKing. And the potions aren't even necessary if you just set up a beacon on the surface.

@@TonyTwo8192 Setting up a Beacon still requires a lot of resources. All of that to fight a mob that will quickly respawn, and also, I'm sure that anyone making a new survival world will run into the Warden before they actually get that far, just because all you need to do is venture into a cave.

Nah, it just needs to burrow through blocks (just like it does when spawning/despawning). This prevents cheesing with both pillaring up AND blocking it's path

It’s such a shame that the warden drops nothing but a sculk catalyst as if they’re not everywhere 🙄

I really wish I could mess around with everything in the new snapshot the new launcher won’t update

Thats why warden is not meant to be killed.

It took me dying like 20 times but i killed a warden with my fists alone

I almost died in my hardcore because I was raiding ancient city, it was a bad idea to fight him, after that I defeated him my reaction is screaming and I say *nooooo wayyyy *cry's laughing*
