@@bekeneel Putin had previously had Navalny poisoned at least once. He had Navalny locked up in prison for years (and treated poorly in prison), even though he hadn't committed any crime. At the very least, Putin had Navalny moved to Russia:s most remote and harshest penal colony, where it certainly was going to damage his health. It's very telling that Russia is saying they won't make his body available for a least 2 weeks, in other words, until all traces of poisons are no longer detectable in his system. Yes, I think there's very little room for doubt that this was an assassination, which Putin has done MANY times before.

Every POTUS has passed “immigration reform “ and haven’t fixed anything. If you take numbers from December don’t for about Christmas and families crossing to get together. After the holidays they go back. Seasonal undocumented workers will be a thing until there’s a law that punishes the people that hire them but that will NEVER pass. There ARE two Central American countries in the middle of collapse right now so numbers are naturally going to be up. We can help Mexico be a better place and most people will stop there and stay. Yes we need to take action on illegal entry to the US. But I invite you to come to the border and see it with your own eyes, there’s no “invasion” and numbers about it are highly inflated for political rhetorical purposes.

I have a theory. Navalny’s wife was due to address the Munich Security Conference. He timed this to scupper her appearance on the world stage. He is deeply vindictive and this would have amused him, however, I think this has backfired on Putin, the world’s reaction has shocked him, but more than that the reaction of many of the Russian people who have shown bravery across many Russian cities by laying tributes to Navalny has made him aware of a significant under-swell against him. The fact that he was recently moved to a very remote penal colony even NORTH of Siberia, was a red flag to me (and perhaps others). The inner workings and local knowledge of a penal colony death is much easier to contain in such a location. There have been three recent examples of putins flagging popularity: Prigozhin mutiny (public support and no pushback), the woman candidate who received signatures but was denied on alleged fake signatures and the latest candidate that saw people queued in the bitter cold to sign on -apparently also denied due to irregularities. That is not even including Strelkov who is also imprisoned. Putin grows weaker and he knows it so maybe this killing of Navalny is a reaction to that. History tells us that a people pushed too far will eventually push back. It's just a matter of when. This will push Ukraine's supporters to deliver more weapons at a faster pace. Poland is allowing dodgy truckers to block transport to Ukraine while the police do nothing.

Get real ! The might of the Russian forces is so starkly evident by the amount of equipment and weaponry it has destroyed....that's the measure of any military power. More armour and heavy artillery has been destroyed than was lost by the Whermacht in WW2. Ukraine was difficult because NATO secretly invested countless Billions into the Stoltenberg heavy fortications some 3 metres thick and 8 metres high in Donestk area. Combined with a massive network of tunnels to move troops and supplies. These are now overcome as Avdeyevka and Bakhmut have fallen.

It is a house of horrors over there isn’t it. Navalny was a man of deep conviction. His belief in a better future was so powerful, it was contagious. Navalny”s courage is reserved for so terribly few among us but one which most of us aspire to. He knew where this boat was going when he booked passage back from Germany after Putin’s goon-squad tried to assassinate him with novichock. Seems to me the romans crucified a guy with that kind of conviction a little over two millennia ago. From what I’ve heard, that didn’t work out too well for them. Why do you think people like Trump haven’t met a similar fate? Perhaps b/c most of the world has figured out that a live extremist is far less dangerous than a dead legend.

I'm one of those that were not sold on Navalny's "conversion" into a liberal but he certainly did not deserve what happened to him and what he and Russians deserved is to have free and fair elections where he could advocate whatever positions he chose to and they got to choose what kind of leader they wanted. You can always change a leader with bad or immoral policies if you have a real democracy (even if imperfect), and if the people keep choosing such a leader then it's on them, although you can always work to change their mind about what kind of leader they should elect. In Putin's Russia, Xi's China, and in the version of the US that Trump is trying to create where he gets to remain president even if he loses, you have no such choice.

Putin has killed for less. Navalny still had the following of young people and his wife was speaking at the Munuch Conference which I'm sure enraged him. Along with seeing him laughing and joking with judges. I'm sure that enraged him as well.

Why now if the death was intended to happen on that very day? Yulia Navalnaya was in Germany for the Munich security conference. Putin's own Munich speech in 2007 was not that succesful... Could this be the reason?
