I like how the intro soundtrack sounds like it's really trying to break into DOOM but just can't quite muster it.

I like Street Fighter's :)

At first Riptor was my first character mainly because of Jurassic Park then Orchid because of her easy cheesy 20+ combo you could do then finally Fulgore became my favorite for both Killer Instinct 1 and 2. Also to note that Killer Instinct was the first fighting game to implement a feature that allowed a player to interrupt their opponents combo

My first character was Riptor just because I wanted to do his eat/fart fatality. I really like Fulgore and Spinal because they had some cool looking combo finishers, but they were really hard characters to use. Especially because I had a hard time doing the ⬅️⬇️↙️ movement on arcade joystick.

Mine were Orchid for her attacks and Cinder for how easy he was to pull off a finisher and ring knock out.

I could have saved various SNES controllers back on those days if I had had this tutorial handy 😅

@@charlespierre4245 yea when I was a kid I could do more hits... You'd figure out whether to start with a light or medium version of a move then transition to vice versa and then do the ultra... It led to some pretty large number combos lol

Game is pretty simple and fun. NES was all about hard. SNES was more about arcade fun. I guess Nintendo was like okay. We gave everybody, hypertension and anger management issues. Let em have fun now. Lol

For Galcius teleport: Fierce will teleport behind opponent Medium will teleport in front of opponent Quick (hold down) will collapse into a puddle and regain health.

I used to get a really bad headache when I played this game every time without fail. I still loved the game though…

Bro, this brings back so many memories of my childhood. Seeing Killer Instinct in the arcade I was blown away by the graphics and combos. Was disappointed how it looked on SNES but loved the soundtrack disc that came with it. Even used a few tracks for the haunted house my at my middle school. The one thing I have never been able to figure out how to do was the ultra combos where the opponent is launched into the air and then being hit by an invisible ultra. It’s always looked cool as hell to me but I could never figure out how to do it.

I remember figuring out how easy the ultra combos were for a few characters and would impress the shit out of friends mashing buttons after the sequence started as if I we making every button count.

This game was the shit when it first came out on October 28th of 1994. Not quite as good as Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter II but definitely better than Clay Fighter that’s for sure.

i had this game tho i dont remember how i got it. you shouldve had the characters fight themselves, showcasing each character’s humiliation dance

This was my favorite fighting game when I was a kid but the fatalities could have been way better that's what made Mortal Kombat better than most fighting games because not only did each character have awesome special moves they also had unique awesome fatality moves I just feel that if Killer Instinct had better fatalities at the time it would have been the better of the fighting games.

What do you mean, their fatalities is not far off from the mortal kombat of that generation, i would even argue that killer instinct is much better. The reason mortal kombat is way more famous becauss it was already a house hold name even before snes came out and they spent a lot in advertisement and merchandise, and they have their own comics

Better a loud sound where you can turn the volume down than a low sound where you cannot turn the volume up.

Just make any combo. WHILE you are making the combo, make the Ultra, like I show in the vídeo.

What am i doing wrong the ultra never works for me, i wait till the opponent is in the red then I do the specified move and it behaves just like any other time I do that move, just a short 3 hit triplet. Is there some other criteria other than the opponents life bar being in red?

Just do it with the CORRECT button. Check if the buttons configuration are correct, if it is the same showed in the video.

Nem sei mais jogar isso rsrs. Antes de fazer esse vídeo, a última vez que joguei foi no Super Nintendo original há mais de 20 anos atrás. Naquela época eu era bom, mas agora não sei nem jogar mais rsrs. E eu sou professor e tenho 2 empregos, então nem sobra mais tempo agora para jogar. O Ultra é só um comando de nada, tipo um golpe simples. Ele só precisa ser executado no meio de um combo. Aí seu combo pode ser de 3 hits ou 20 hits. Se vc fizer um combo de 3 hits e mandar o ultra, fica pequeno assim mesmo.
