I'm so confused as to why the Kommando player didn't sneaky git a Dynamite then select Infiltrate to change an order, that could have alpha struck one of your clumps of elves and put him waaay far ahead. Seems strange that he didn't do that.

Because it would have not been in range. Unwieldly means it is 2AP to fire and he'd be more than 6 inches away

@@CanYouRollaCrit he could have easily used his first act to improve the APL of the dynamite carrier by 1 with either the comms boy or the nob, then moved and shot. One of his stickbombs was placed pretty poorly allowing him to be shot by your blaster, but with better placement, thats 2 or 3 dead acts out the gate and I don't see corsairs with any ability to prevent that. I think your opponent just misplayed his deployment and sneaky git use.

I think you're over-estimating that, not able to do that on the board plus it still gives me a turn to react as I could redeploy with my strat to counter charge/shoot. If my corsairs couldn't redeploy and the board was easier for that, sure

That shade runner is absolutely devastating, I’ve always found it hard killing it with my chaos team without losing operatives in close combat first! Any advice for taking it down?? Haha

I played this same mission with same map layout last night (also playing voidscarred!). Biggest difference is that we used the door rules, which really changes how this terrain loadout plays. Do you know if the designers intended doors to be used, or why did you opt to treat them as solid walls instead?

The devs don't intend them to be as that's how they play it at Warhammer World. Would completely warp the terrain balance for octarius imo

@@CanYouRollaCrit hearing that Warhammer World plays it without doors surprises me. This layout seems like it was made with doors in mind, given the position of multiple doors immediately next to objectives.

Wait light fingers works on tac ops? Because the ploy specifically states mission action or pick up action, doesn’t this excludes tac ops?It limits the ploy to the specific mission actions such as the loot and salvage mission action?

@@CanYouRollaCrit I’m trying not to be a pain in the arse it just comes easy to me, it just doesn’t seem so obvious to me? Mission actions are described on each mission in the core rule book and are referred to as mission actions. Page 138 of the core rules describes tac ops as secondary objectives. Light fingers refers to mission and pick up actions only and does not mention secondary objectives. For me rules as written would prevent the ploy being used on tac ops 🤷‍♂️

Hi How did the blaster move, shoot then dash in it's first activation? They only have 2APL

Great fight back dude! Are we sure that ‘charge - claim point’ move that you busted out a few times is legit though? Surely you can’t loot and/or salvage (or any other action) while you’ve an ork in your face? 🤔🤔

Definitely needs an FAQ huh? To bring it in line with ‘pick up’ etc. Just to make sense as well. Good spot though, sneaky sneaky 😂

Sorry for the blast of question comments, but I haven't played for a couple of weeks now and I'm really into the game your playing :) Can I ask about the shot at 28 minutes - into a Concealed Op behind light cover - do you have a special rule to allow that? Is it a Psyker action? I'm sorry I don't have the Corsairs rules :(

17:53.... Vantage. Is that VaPo not in your deployment zone? (I've not checked the map, possibly it's just out) also is the Grot further than white circle of you? Great use of the ploy to grap a 2AP Tac op though :)

@@CanYouRollaCrit you got to be further than 2" from the enemy to score Vantage. I think vertically that works for you here. Your battle reports are very "plan view" :)

@@CanYouRollaCrit I normally struggle to score Vantage, even with a VaPo right on the edge of the DZ like that. As I have to get up there and then wait for the next TP so I can spend all my 2AP grabbing 1VP before normally being shot up or charged. That ploy is super strong. I want one. I'm so tempted to grab that box, I've been looking at Craftworlds for a while now...

Is it possible to use Sneaky Git on two operatives like that?

Turning Point 2 with the Voidscarred sniper - you should have used take aim before shooting to have the ability to re-roll one of those misses. Missed opportunity there.

Only with scrap pile charges as per the FAQ

Only over a scrap pile. Its stated in the Core Rules Designer Commentary.

Nah you cannot unless you have fly

When the nob charges he has to change his order to engage, and conceal does not simply give u 1 cover save. But maybe he had cover from something i didnt see on the board from the camera angle.

Kommandos can charge from conceal. He played a kommando strat that lets him retain a dice if he has a conceal order
