ryuko never became strong from wearing senketsu, she became stronger from being ONE with senketsu, and even if he's gone, they're still one, hence why she still stays strong

She lost the versatility of controlling life fibers outside of her body, but she can still walk on walls and operate those huge ass scissors. She needs to have that kind of strength, though, since there are probably other planets infested with life fibers, and they might target earth in the future.

When she talks about how this is for everyone at Honnouji Academy, that this is their graduation from Ragyo, that hit me hard. I’d honestly rate Ragyo as one of the most evil characters in all of fiction, what she has done has left scars on literally every character in Kill la Kill. Most of all Satsuki, Ryuko and the Elite Four, all of whom were robbed of their youth and childhood by her actions. Ryuko using the giant scissor blade to destroy the academy was literally her way of cutting off the past and its trauma for everyone involved with the life fibres, Honnouji Academy and Ragyo. Her VA did an amazing job in this scene too, you can just feel how determined she is to save everyone from their past in her delivery. Bravo.

This was the kind of attack that was missing from the last episode. Glad they made this OVA.

I almost didn’t know about this episode. I just finished watching this series and was just about to move on. But I stumbled upon this. What a symbolic ending, to sever the final tie, cutting the last thread. What a culmination. From Ryoku being stuck in the past and seeking revenge, to her passing on a message of leaving the past behind you and turning a new leaf; and that’s honestly the message I got from the two main characters. As much as I’d have liked to see another season, every loose end is tied and every bond to the past plot, has been severed. Now all I have stuck in my head is, “DONT LOSE YOUR WAYYYYYY!”

This is where men cried.

Can we talk about how great a line and metaphor "But the days you spend wearing them don't go anywhere" is?

Totally dude. Imo It means that eventually everything you try to do right will be Forgiven or Forgotten but even so it's always gonna affect you in the long run and you either continue to live with the guilt or accept that it's in the past

@@punkatron4579 I think the idea was more along the lines of we all have to grow up and move on eventually; that's just part of life. But even though those times (both the good and the bad) are gone and in the past now, they are still a part us. They still have a hand in who we are and help us grow into something better. That's what I got out of it, anyway

Did anyone ever notice how right before Ryuuko announced the name of the move, a giant shadow of her Life Fiber Synchro Form dissipated from the handles of the scissors??? Helluva way to end the series, with a flash back to the og outfit that later became a part of who Ryuuko is, both in sentimental and physical senses.

The giant silhouette of Ryuko wearing Senketsu was a PERFECT touch to such a GREAT ending for this STUNNING anime. Its a shame that this only had one season to boot. If there's gonna be a sequel to this, I'M SO IN!

That drop at 0:49 is one of the best in the whole anime. This show's use of music is incredible.

They never need to make a season 2; KLK is a perfect, encapsulated story that did exactly what it wanted and needed to. That being said, I would absolutely watch a season 2

Can't express how much I love this scene, I tear up every time.

I never thought I'd see the day where an anime would end with female Shadow the Hedgehog using a fucking enormous set of scissors to chop a giant robot high school in two in memory of her sailor uniform that died tragically, yet here we are and it's amazing.

Almost forgot to rewatch this today. Chills and choking up every single time, man.

We will ALWAYS miss and love Senketsu

the fact I graduate this year makes it all the more meaningfull, and kick ASS!!!!

This is so epic that the epicness itself it's getting chills

No it doesn't. There's more TTGL references for sure. There's FLCL references but there's more for TTGL. The last 2 episodes (Not the OVA) are full of TTGL references for example.

I had to replay this scene at least 3 times the first time I saw it

I only found out about this episode after my 3rd viewing of the series and it was an absolute treat, although the message of the episode was letting go of the past and embracing the future, it's always made me wonder what kind of power Ryuko could really bring out of Senketsu, especially combining Senketsu Kisaragi and the Graduation Ceremony attack, she'd be absolutely nuts

1:28 that's maybe the best Its over/you're done/you're finished I've ever heard in all of anime. EVER.

Trigger is only studio that use a kinda stupid concept and make it epic AF

The Amazing detail that she's actually in transformation at 2:20 then quickly fades out...

Given that the head writer of Kill la Kill also was the head writer of Kamen Rider Fourze (which came out two years earlier), I'm not entirely surprised by this scene being uncannily similar to the "Kick of Graduation" scene from the latter show...but it's just as awesome.

La escena mas epica de toda la serie

Ryuko’s arc is so amazing. Here, after so much pain and struggle, she finally learns to say goodbye to her best friend, battle partner and (non romantic) soulmate Senketsu while accepting that she needs to move on and put the past behind her like Senketsu made her promise to do in the previous episode. She’s such a freaking badass.

Thats so fucking dope that the life fibers went into that red strand in her hair ( witch im pretty sure is life fiber its self) i got chills

@@robosexxxual Personally I think the dub is better to enjoy. It's funnier in my opinion. And I don't know why but it gets me so worked up when she pronounces the U in Senketsu. She did it at the end and then again here. And she never did it before those moments so wtf lol

I miss when trigger used to jump the fucking shark like this. Like they didn't just jump the shark or turn it into a tornado. They fucking painted that shit in oil, then hung it on a gallery wall and embraced the shit outta it.
