Rebecca is the best. Especially when you realize if David fell in love with her instead, he would not have succumb to cyberpsychosis. He would have had someone he loved with him on every mission, protecting each others backs and giving him the love he deserved. That's why Rebecca is the best, she loved him unconditionally and died for him even though her love was never reciprocated .

When I finished the anime I initially didn’t get the simp hype around Rebecca. She was just small, cute, and aggressive. But then you realize she was a true ride or die for David like you said. He wouldn’t reciprocate the attention because he was only focused on Lucy. Even though the biggest slip to David’s mental health was Lucy growing distant in their relationship.

I think the part that hit hardest was when she realized that David was gone in the head, lost to cyber psychosis. Because even then, she didn’t freak out or ditch him. She just looked at the delusional, psychotic remains of the man who now had no capacity to love her back and promised that she would ride or die with him. And she kept that promise.

Do you know whats even crazier to detail by this anime? In game if you equip gorilla hands (thats what these massive arms are called) it Actually enables you to wield heavier weapons. All these correct Weapons (heavy machine gun, sniper, shotgun) are later used by rebecca after having those massive hands

Seeing Rebecca’s final moments pretty much solidifying the fact that her infatuation with David was unrequited love, just for her to be squashed by Adam Smasher still hits me. She didn’t expect anything from David the whole time but still was there for him to the end. I like how you can see the exact moment she started to like him and how it deepened but she never pressed it. That’s genuine love on her part and she was probably one of the most wholesome characters in the show.

Becca's death literally had me just shocked. Saddest shit ever, right after David's declining moments. She dodged Smasher and survived in my dreams!!!!

Amazing how she was a literal last minute addition to the show but she became one THE most popular thing about it. We love our short little violent gremlin.

It was so sad when David said "you were right mom..." looking at Rebecca, his mind was falling apart and all that was currently on his mind when looking at her was his mom and that he was going to make her proud. And Rebecca finally realizing he's too far gone, so she smiles and goes along with the suicide mission. Because everyone talks about "all the way to the top", but no one ever says anything about making it back down

Man, the last 10 seconds being just a soundless black screen is so weird. But it’s fine, we all know that they all stay friends and keep having fun adventures together!

Barely 6 minutes of screentime and still beloved. The creators know their craft!

I gotta say screaming "FUCK YOU!!" while shooting up at the CyberPunk equivalent to the Goddamn Terminator is a pretty badass way to go out. Rest In Piece Rebecca, you absolute fucking legend.

I would say he's maybe like this universe version of General Grievous (Just with the badass stamp of Darth Vader) but the Terminator work too.

She was very unhinged and bloodthirsty, but actually cared a lot about David. More than anyone else besides Lucy.

I'd say she cared more about David then Lucy even. She willing choose to go with David at the end knowing full well what the situation was and that she would likely not make it back out alive. Even while David was full psycho she did stuck with him to complete his wish.

@@yin6542 I'd say both are even. Lucy left his side because she wanted to get those corpos off his back, and not to mention Lucy didn't really left since she still lives with him despite not being in the crew. But yeah Becca is a prime example of what Jackie was to V, a ride or die companion

My favorite part is her answering the door with a gun to David's head and then just leaving it there for a few lines of dialog like "Wassup choom? Ya need somethin?"

"Alright David, let's go. To the top, then." Stab Twist

"Alright David, let's go to the top then." That scene hit hard. Rebecca could sense that David was too far gone and instead of yelling at him to get his head in the game, she chose to play along with a caring tone of voice.

1:22 Hands down, the best laugh I had this decade. The way David holds Rebecca (like a cat) and her reaction to Rogue are just fantastic.

I haven't even watched the show and somehow I'm still depressed by the ending this isn't fair

Interesting how Rebecca deals with all the bad shit while being smitten by David, and David just friend zones her lol

I like how both Rebecca and her brother went out in equally bat-shit insane ways that were entirely different from one another. Pilar got his brains blown out by a cyberphsyco mid dick joke (which was just so true to his character), whilst Becca got fucking Mario stomped by the bastard hate child of Megatron and the Terminator, screaming the F-bomb and rapid firing submachine guns right up until the end.

Nitpick, but she was firing a Militech Mk. 31 HMG, a weapon too heavy even for V to carry around on his person. And it's implied she took out Smasher's primary weapon given he was using his hands and his built-in weapons afterwards.

I’m fine with doing the end quest all over again each time, so I like swapping weapons out in my loadout… which means each time I go for it, I get to kill the sonovabitch in different ways. Each way is always brutal, and I never keep him alive.

5 Minutes screentime=most popular character makes sense.

Rebecca was my favourite character (she feels like how Harley Quinn SHOULD have been in the recent films), she seems crazy, but actually is stable - she's loyal, caring and sticks to the plan. What happened at Arasaka Tower made me shout a very rude, very loud swearword on my first viewing (and EVERY viewing since). Also since watching this I ALWAYS use Guts to finish off Smasher...

I really appreciate how this video ends at 5:32 with Lucy and Rebecca having a moment, and then everything is OK.

Basically the new and improved Harley Quin.

Fun fact, Rebecca's giant cyber arms she gets after the time skip have a purpose, the shotgun she uses that you can get in the game (Guts) has so much recoil that even a completely cyber'd up V can barely handle it. It fires the equivalent of 4 shotgun shells at once and the effects are nasty. Which is how she manages to keep a body rolling in the air in one scene with her guns alone. She doesn't fuck around. On top of that she likely chose that path of cybernetics in honor of her brother, who was all about the arm cybernetics. But instead of dexterity, she opted for pure power.

The Carnage is a monster shotgun - 4 Gauge I believe. Its projectiles equal a quarter pound of lead. The standard 12 gauge? Only a 12th of a pound. Tacking on the increased powder charge and heavier projectile load, the 4 gauge easily dwarfs a 12 by a magnitude of about 6, and Rebecca's gun Guts fires 3 extra projectiles on top. Its flavor text says "Just don't shoot your eye out." and the last we see of her, well...

The first one where she gave Maxim a "Favor" or something caught me off-guard and i was like "BECCA WHAT ARE YOU DOING-" XD

She gets so pissed off at David for using his Sandevistan implant because she knows it's bad for him to use it too much even though she acts like she's just mad he's showing off.

i really like the english VA greeting someone at gunpoint sayin "david my man! what's going on?" but at no point through that greeting does she lower her gun. even when she's just hanging out and talking to people she's armed and shooting shit lol. true solo class
