Himmler was a chicken farmer and fertilizer salesman.
Its amazes me how so many of his top generals were fully aware that they were being lead into the jaws of absolutely catastrophe.Yet,they were unable to slow down the snowball of disaster of which they were all a part.

It's rather frightening that these obviously intelligent people didn't take refuge in other countries (when this was still possible)...as by the way a lot of people did - it is a fact that many (e.g. rich German lawyers) transferred their families to Britain, South America asf...I'm perfectly sure that many top brass members were constantly afraid of being arrested / hunted down - don't forget the Gestapo !

Rommel was not inspecting the troops/fortificaations when his car was attacked; rather he was on the way back to Germany to be with his wife for her birthday. He had even brought her a gift for her birthday: shoes. I believe that I am correct in making this observation.

To a German officer, let alone the lower ranks , an oath of allegiance was an almost physical thing. Hitler could rely on the twin pillars of the German character, duty and obedience.
They failed but they had the guts to try. Incredible men they were.😮

I suppose its so children, like mine, can watch it. Its KZread, them's the breaks. Probably available somewhere uncensored but IMO it serves history better to make these child-friendly, since they are the ones that need to be educated more than we (adult history buffs) do

Why do we get to watch footage from the greatest war ever and are robbed by scenes being blurred out. In my opinion you are hiding the main parts of a conflict eg, death and destruction. We as adults are not afraid to look at war footage as it really happened, not sanitized. You are changing history by editing footage.

1/ tytuł nieprawidłowo przetłumaczony - nie ma w nim ani słowa o "szczęściu zbrodniarzy", ale o "szczęściu diabła" 2/ Ani słowem nie wspomina się tu o agresji na Polskę. Dlaczego? I have seen dozens of documentaries about WWII, namely about Hitler. This one, directed by Frederic Tonolli, has one of the best WWII movie selections I have ever seen. The historical background of Elser and the aristocratic Wehrmacht officers' endeavors is excellent. They tried in vain to kill Hitler but they live in our minds much more than that evil and sinister man .
Good luck to came near him..
Elser may have had noble intentions, but let's not forget that he murdered 8 people.
