    Love watching this video because I ordered my Carvin CS6 in 2013 just before this video was posted so it’s pretty cool to see the place my guitar was built and the attention to detail.

    I watched the un-boxing video next,and I saw a very thoughtful plastic bag that the case was sealed in ,but i know thru the magic of tv ,everything was reviewed and then un- wrapped again to seal he guitar case,I'm thoroughly pleased to see all the care that was taken to get that guitar to the customer. I'm such a clutzz about new stuff i usually scratch stuff unknowingly when virgin-ally opening up those beautiful things!

    have a Carvin i bought second hand for $400. bolt neck, dual HB's, thick AAA flame top, locking tuners, real Floyd Rose, ebony fret-board. probably the best playing guitar i've ever owned or played and i own 2 Gibson LP's and a US Strat. Carvins are a high end instrument built for serious playing. and yes it sounds as good as it plays. wish i knew how good they were bfore i dropped $2000 on a LP. but hey i love LPs so it's all good.

    Put the video in HD and full screen. Watch as the piece comes off. You will notice it is too long in length to be the nut and it's flight pattern is of something very lightweight. It's a piece of steel wool coming off, not the nut.

    At around 4:30 when polishing the frets with the steel wool machine, did the nut come flying off or was it something else?. Looked like there was some resistance in the instant it happened. Killer guitars at a great price. Nice work Kiesel.

    I know this video is nine years old, but I have a question. Does Kiesel still use those cheap small potentiometers and those cheap quality blade switches? What’s such a beautiful, expensive guitar, I would think they would use CTS, or Bourns, and at least Oak Grisby, or even better use Schaller megaswitches.

But Thats a beautiful color TK one thing tho I don't know why the resale is never good, But hey it's a Custom Gtr. 4 you I think they should have a good resale but they don't, I've seen Gibson's that would NOT stay intune but hold the resale value? I'd love to have a Carvin Bass in the same color.

    Gibson and Fender have high resale values because of name recognition and brand history. Since Carvin only sells direct, and you can't stumble into a new one in a shop, and I fairly rarely find used ones in shops, they just don't have the same cache as Fender or Gibson. Great guitars though, my TL60 is still my number one player, over my Les Paul BFG and my Select Series Strat.

    Gibson and Fender charge $1,200 for painted mystery wood and zero customization. And Gibson isn't exactly doing very well as a company six years after your comment (or even when you commented.) The chrome knobs off my Peavey T-60 will be worth more than a Les Paul Studio by the year 2022.

  • @neilpatrickhairless

    @neilpatrickhairless

    They are just threaded brass inserts for machine screws. Pick a screw size, then match the thread to the insert. They usually cost about 10¢ each if you buy them that way from a hardware store.

    Nice Guitar. But why don't they use full size potentiometers? Especially when they are talking about not cheapening out on the shielding and using proper copper shielding tape. Just seems really wierd and not something you would expect on a custom shop guitar unless they are some sort of amazing high tech mini pot.
