I agree. Ki is not a natural soprano so when she is able to hit those notes- I know she’s in good voice and has been fasting and praying. She put on a clinic with this performance.

Kierra is a natural soprano lol… she’s a light lyric soprano her range extends up to B5/C6 belting/mix wise.

For me, it’s your super-dynamic voice Jaron!! You are so Awesome, I love, love your analysis of different artist vocals, but your voice is amazing!!

What you say about going for the high notes is so true. I notice when I sing along with recordings, I surprise myself hitting higher notes because I’m less self conscious with the recording playing in the background. When I try it without something playing along I chicken out and sing a lot quieter. Wish I had more confidence with singing

I love your videos and analysis details and have been playing catch up! ALSO, I’ve been curious about the recent comments I’ve heard on Kierra’s range. I’ve been listening to Kierra for years and have just recently heard people say that Kierra is singing higher than ever before. I haven’t personally observed this (then again I don’t sit in front of a keyboard every time she sings lol). IMO she’s always sung very high but I think her approach to those high notes sound different. She’s much lighter and cleaner, but I haven’t noticed a change in her range. But maybe someone can give examples of this? I would even love to hear maybe a side by side of Kierra then vs now!

Excellent vocal analysis as usual, and of course Kera Sheard Kelly continually proves that God has given her a gift that enhances her family's singing/ministry legacy. I'd like to suggest that you do a vocal analysis of Lena Byrd Miles "Trust me!", she's also a stellar songstress who's been gifted by the Most High. Her ad libs are all biblically sound but her vocal delivery will cause positive annointing fueled shivers up your spine...

Hmmmmm. In my opinion, ranges and can very elusive and fluid, so I don't really like to give HARD labels to people in terms of vocal classification. I would say she has some highs that she didn't use as much before! So she could probably get some soprano out!

Kierra is actually a light lyric soprano! She can belt up to B5 but wasn’t as consistent few years ago! But around her live recording (Free) she’s been getting up there now! But the movie just unlocked everything else!
