⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@maomaomi5434no they don’t queen ants produce hundreds of males and a bunch of queens and kick them out in nuptial flights and then they mate, the males die and the queens found their own colony through a few methods including temporary social parasitism, the claustral method or the semi-claustral method depending on species, there are also some other methods but I don’t know enough about them to discuss them properly.

When the ants do it, it’s like oh that’s just nature. But when I do it I get put into jail.
