My kids rarely ask for snacks, but they know the veg & fruit are 100% available at all times. We also keep hard boiled eggs, a big bowl of fresh green salad is always in the fridge, once in a while I’ll make muffins, pop corn on the stove in coconut oil, fresh smoothies or yogurt with granola.

Pro tip…instead of throwing away the crushed ritz I save them and use them in meat loaf, meat balls, burger patties etc! Or use to bread pork chops!!!

We do the exact same thing. We help the kids self regulate their snacks. We help them remember that they already had ice cream this week and that they should pick something else. I love the idea about rotating the snacks from a storage area where the extras are kept. Great idea!

Usually for our snacks we do, yogurt, cheese, fruit, hummus, veggies, popcorn, cheese crackers, almonds etc. We usually stay away from prepackaged since we are home most of the time, if we do go out during lunch hour or around errand time, the kids know to pack their snacks in our glass containers. It is a little more washing of dishes but it’s worth it for us, it also keeps the budget lower. We always have our tumblers when out and about with ice water especially since it’s hot here in Texas 😅 great tip for the guacamole cups will have to try that! Many blessings to you and the family Brittany ❤

We do fruit, cheese sticks, yogurt tubes, popcorn, etc. Very similar to your snacks. :)

We don’t do pre packaged foods while we are home- too much cost and garbage!! Do they want cookies or muffins? We make them from scratch.

So the z bars are actually not clean as they have sunflower and soybean oil which are highly inflammatory to a persons body. Also one bar has 9 grams of added sugar which is equivalent to 2 to 2 and a half teaspoons of added sugar. That is too much. Even the Dukes sauage has palm oil and natural flavors. Same with palm oil higly inflammatory but also bad for the environment. Red palm oil is better. Natural flavors are just preservatives. My biggest weakness has always been Dr. Pepper and I noticed that is my sugar source. I almost have it completely eliminated as I used to drink too much of it. Ever since cutting out alot of those things I have noticed a huge difference in my body. It is definitely worth it. There are cleaner alternatives out there for sure.

My kids rarely ask for snacks. We don't have fun snacks, so they don't really want snacks. We have string cheese, fruit, apple sauce cups. Those are mostly eaten with lunch. We have a big box of 50 bags of chips, but we've had that 2-3 months now and it's probably still half full even with 3 kids. In the summer, especially, my kids are too busy being outside to even eat at all. Lunch gets skipped some days even.

Rotating snacks is a must. Growing up, we had the animal crackers in the big dog shaped container far too much.... I'm 38 years old and still hate them. I do not buy them for my children, I hate them that much.
