Out of all Dhar Mann's stories, this one is the most heartwarming and wholesome of them all. It's nice that there isn't any cheating, backstabbing, shaming, judging or causing of any other problems / mischief that end up as a "regret" later on. Seeing a man lose his job just to spend more time with his supportive wife and son, where he finds his passion in making toys is the most naturally written narrative I've seen in one of these. There is no "conflict" with anyone, it's just life carrying on with a family who sticks together and supports one another.

This felt so relatable, my dad started a business super recently making wooden furniture by hand. Heck, I can hear him in the garage chopping up wood right now! My grandfather also built his house from scratch when my dad was just a kid. Pity I'm not into building and engineering, but my little sister is so I will let her continue the legacy

When the economy went down & i lost my job in 2007, i had my car repoed & it was court ordered by the judge to pay them anyway after they sold the car for only $4500 at auction, left me w/over $9k + annual interest to pay & the $5k to pay the debt collector = i'm STILL paying it off! Remember this: financial freedom from bills is your power and peace of mind. Best of luck w/completing high school too. 🙏

This is extremely similar to the story of LEGO: A carpenter was laid off as his employer shut down, he couldn’t find a job, so he made wooden toys. Of course eventually they became plastic interlocking bricks but still very similar
