I definitely agree on this....dads are always showed as the bad one...they work so hard...just to fulfill his family's needs and wishes...after that so the child expected him to pay more attention towards him...either you get the gifts from him...or the time he gives you.

The dad tried his best to make his son happy. First, he got stuck in traffic, then he got stuck at store waiting in line but instead of waiting further in line, he tried to cut the line just to get his son presents on time. He really loves his son and cares about him.

The title should've Been 'family doesn't understand father's emergency's
A wise person once told me (mom): "Dad couldn't make it for my school programs because he is busy with work and that is the work that brings me a good house to stay ,good food to eat , good clothes to wear and most importantly to go to school. "
The point is that there's more important things to life than gifts, and having your parent around is more important.
I know it's really sad but, still the dad really cares more about his son's feelings than his own and that's a good thing❤️💕

Not gonna lie I felt extremely bad for the dad especially at the end because the mom and the kid couldn't understand how many things he was going through and when the dad showed the kid the presents that's when it broke my heart
I remember going through something similar with my mother. Works between 70-100 hours/week but I was never mad for her missing games or anything like that due to my father being in and out of employment. She was able to go to more functions when I was in highschool due to becoming a Supervisor

I wasn't sad, I played football my dad never saw, I was never was angry on him. He would do anything for me, except he won't be present anywhere near me, I don't get mad because I know he already has stress with his work. I am a kid, but still I know what is the stress.
