I have a Stonic Ex+ and a current gen Civic 1.8 oriel. I prefer driving my Stonic. A car's driving experience is quite subjective. Not everything is about cold, hard numbers. Stonic's maneuverability and build quality are better overall imo, and I personally find it more comfortable to drive in city traffic due to its nimble character. The smaller engine size, though noticeable at higher speeds, serves the purpose and is adequate for the car's mass. I agree that it feels more like a large hatchback than a small crossover but thats ok. We don't all have the same needs or preferences. As for the review itself, this was less of an owner's review and more of Sunil sb forcing the owner to justify his purchase decision...which he doesn't have to. Sunil sb should attend a course in conducting interviews more professionally. In most of these owner's "reviews" he asks too many leading questions and is mostly interested in listening to his own opinions. This one was particularly painful to watch as the owner remained on the defensive throughout. Its ok to insert a joke here and there but this whole thing felt like a joke. Don't know what to call this video but its certainly not an owner's review. I expected a little more seriousness from a big platform like PakWheels. That said, comparisons between sedans and crossovers are just awkward. They belong in different segments and prioritise different things.

So don't you think that this is Objectively true that this Car is Overpriced? Cuz that's what everybody is saying about it. and If it IS overpriced then shouldn't it be Judged a tad harshly? This Video is being shot for Potential customers So shouldn't Suneel be Prying harder cuz we know that it's objectively an Overpriced Car? Your comment suggests that Suneel should not insert his Opinion and Shouldn't Judge him Critically, which if he does, It would Totally defeat the main Purpose of Making this Video. Suneel can't be all Hunky dory about it.

@@mozzinator Every single car in Pak is overpriced and Stonic may be a bit more overpriced than others. A Civic Turbo is going for over 5 million now lol. Look at the price of a freaking Alto...or that weird Glory. Our car market's dynamics are nuts. Anyway, how is this video supposed to help serious potential customers? Please tell me because all I can see are leading questions purposefully asked to lead to a certain conclusion. Sunil doesn't have to be hunky dory about it, that's not what I'm saying at all. Its also ok for him to interject his own opinion here and there but his opinions take up way too much space in these supposed owner's reviews. Instead of putting the owner on the defensive as if he needs to justify his purchase, Sunil should have explored his decision. There is a huge difference between the two. You help potential buyers by showing them all angles, not by placing most of the emphasis on things that you personally have issues with.

@@aqibkhan2729 i think it has to do with the fact that Sunil is a Toyota lover. A KIA lover will always prefer stonic over civic and grande if space isn't much of a concern for him. Personally i think built quality and drive quality of KIA is far more superior then toyota and honda

@@batmanarkham5120 depends on which country r u talking about if you are talking about uganda maybe it's a feature there, but in Europe and US it's a basic safety standard, even catalytic converters are a must without which the car isn't road legal.

This car is equivalent to £16750. It's got pretty much all the features of UK model minus dab radio and the latest 1.0 litre engine. This car is worth the price in Pakistan IMO

I bought it for my family, 2 years back. Its quite good overall experience. Before tht we had vitz for family use. In make, drive and reliability its very good. 25000km done and no faults. Clearance is good, climbs mountaneous rds easily, 1st gear is quite powerful with lots of traction. Sold road grip, turns are good. Good as a 2nd car for family use, for school, office, shoping etc.

@@ameerali9702 Yes u can go, e.g. northern areas including Swat, Kalam, Kashmir. Definitely not for off roading. Also quite good on motorways, Lahore, Peshawar. Quite good drive.

I have been an avid user and never have felt the need or urge to give a comment like this one. Throughout the video, I kept feeling a sense of discomfort because the car was constantly in the wrong way. I may be wrong on this. I would have expected Pakwheels and Suneel to at least edit the footage out from video. Riders, especially motor bicycle driver, have a tendency to drive opposite to traffic and has caused many fatal accidents. Would appreciate if the team addresses this or let me know that this was not the case. In case my assertion is wrong, I apologise for saying this and thanks for an informative review.

This car should be compared to City and Yaris in terms of dimensions, power and features. It has no CVT Transmission. Seats are too compact at the back. Trunk space is not good. I would prefer Toyota Yaris over Stonic. Just becuz the price is near 40 lac doesnt mean that it has to be compared with Civic or Grande.

Yaris is junk no retractable mirrors,cruise control,parking sensors,6 airbags,led headlights,projection fog lamps,apple car play,android auto,sunroof,led turn signals,auto dimming mirror,3 way smart entry. But u can have rickshaw tyres,shitty built quality,no driving comfort,worst road noise. Still we can say it isn’t a competitor of grande/civic however it’s competition is MG ZS. Actually i guess u don’t know much about cars aur bas ye pata hoga k yaris bari lag rahi hai mein yaris leleta hoon

@Arsalan Tahir Yes you are right that Yaris lack these features but have loads of other important features. Cruise control can be installed after market in Yaris. It has nice comfort and driving experience with CVT transmission. You cannot expect everything in 31 lacs price. I would say that Yaris has good resale, excellent fuel mileage and value for money. There is a reason that it is best selling car of Toyota Pakistan. Check the numbers yourself. Having knowledge of cars is one thing and making a wise decision is another.

There is a difference between asking questions to understand somebody's decision and asking questions to purposefully lead them towards a certain conclusion, which is exactly what Mr Sunil did. As for right or wrong decisions, what may be right for me may not be right for you and vice versa. Different people, different preferences and needs. This "review" will not help serious buyers in making their decisions. It will only give some amusement to corolla and civic fans. That said, I would prolly also not recommend this car to people with grown kids, although I personally prefer driving my stonic over my civic.

Iss gari ko mene personally check kiya. Pechy ki seats itni uncomfortable us k elawa boot space itna kam. Jo price hai us hisab se bht mehngi hai. This should not cost more than 3 million.

All respect Sunil bhai you are a great car expert but some things are worth mentioning to clarify your concept: 1) Civic's suspension is far more superior than Grande or Corolla or Yaris and Stonic is not even a consideration. Civic is the only car in C segment category over here which has a fully independent suspension and enthusiasts all over the world agree with the fact that independent suspension is far more better and superior then a dependent one which corolla has. It's just a simple torsion beam suspension nothing else. Yes Civic's suspension might feel a bit hard because it's independent and is aimed for better traction and control and an amazing road grip, where corolla always fail. So please don't degrade the car just mention the difference. Rest is all priority of the end user. Now some more facts: 1) Grande has auto dimmimg mirror as well so stonic is no way superior in terms of that. 2) It's a freaking 1400cc compact hatchback no comparison whatsoever with civic or Grande. 3) Yaris is way better in terms of price, engine and reliability. It's Toyota at the end of the day.

@Taha Mukhtar sirr I never said Toyota has a bad suspension, I have kept the latest shape toyota corolla as well and it has a very soft suspension so yes we can say it's comfortable no doubt but on the other hand Honda ke suspension bhe comfortable haii yet it's not as soft as of Corolla, reason being Independent suspension. When you turn corolla at high speeds uske grip nae hoti, and often aisa hua hai k woh nikl jati hai which is very risky. Honda ke road grip bht fit hai because of the Independent suspension. Kyink loag yahan ke roads say tang hain unhe corolla ke suspension behtr feel hoti hai but world over Honda has a by far superior suspension jo yaha bhe Honda use krta but only in Civic not in city. So ye baat hai, point sirf itna hai k whoever says k honda ke suspension poor hai that's a wrong statement.

Both of these are still in family use and are no doubt great value for money. My experience with KIA and other main locally assembled vehicles put me in a position to comment on STONIC

I'm a Grande 2018 model User, went to see this STONIC but was disappointed with fit n finish from plastic rich interior to extremely poor paint quality of under the bonnet. Secondly there's a long delivery time of 4 months and lots of own if you buy on cash. KIA missed a trick here, they should have launched RIO in a price bracket of 2.7 to 2.9 million

@@aqibkhan2729 I'm not a big fan of Corolla but the recent Grande definitely surprised me for its engine and suspension. Its been driven for more than 130K on Pakistani roads. Never disappointed me for its power, suspension, fuel economy and reliability. Believe me I was shocked to see the stonic paint quality when I saw the inside of the bonnet and all plastic interior was a shock for me. Its an overpriced car by half a million

Please also discourage the habit of people driving un-registered vehicles. You should tell it on air to the owners face that he is breaking the law. This idiot has had over one month to get the car registered but has not only driven 3000+ KM but also has had the audacity to take the car on motorway to Bahawalpur without any repercussions from the relevant authorities. The moment the guy said that he sold Grande for this, I knew the review was going to be slightly poor. He could have bought it as a third car, without selling either of the existing ones he had. I would never ever replace an 1800 cc engine with a 1400 one. I don't care about the features. Plus, interms of resale value, he sold the wrong car at the wrong time. I don't think stonics will keep up as much value as Grandes too in a few years time. In the long run, it is going to cost him. Suneel Bhai is right. It might have been a considerable option if you were coming from city or Yaris.

It doesn’t even have basic features of other cars like panaromic sunroof, heated/ventilated seats/steering wheel, blind spot monitor, LKA, digital cluster etc etc… for the price, all u get is an outdated 1800CC engine, okayish mileage and resale. At least this Stonic is being sold everywhere else. It’s not about CCs my man- it’s about the drive. Aaj kal 1400CC ki gaariyan can beat the Grande on all fronts.

@@aresthebot2320 I get it Kai pick achi nahi hogi. Both cars aren’t sports cars anyway and won’t touch more than 140km/h on our highways either. Pick alone is not the standard to compare Crossover and Sedan. More efficient engine, better seats, cabin space etc are also to be considered. Jahan tak baat hai parts aur resale ki - I owned a FAW V2 for 3 years and sold it for the same price I bought it for. Never needed any spare part in that time.. and this is not FAW- it’s KIA! An even bigger more reputable name with two car brands in Pakistan now.
