Kia Sportage rear pad replacement, easy diy project, don’t be paying big bills to replace your pads on your car, it’s an easy job to do yourself,
Handbrake was on before jacking up ,and axle stand underneath the car with stoppers at front wheels

    I clean a piston rubber before I push all that dust back in to the piston makes seals last longer or avoids corrosion

    @KriswithChrist22 yeah just take cap off and when pushing piston in go slowly not to push fluid over the top of the top

    Each time you replace the brake pads always grease both caliper sliding pins

    To save anyone having to look wheels nuts need to be torqued to 98nm.

    Love my 2017 shortage but I never feel comfortable with the jack stand placement with these new cars.

    brilliant videos u have a new subscriber. my kia 1.6 2013 read breaks feel like they lock on and squeek/grind. iv had 2 pads fitted recently but did this before and after it. any ideas of a fix for this please?

    Could need new discs try to clean the discs with disc cleaner first

    do you have the handbrake off throughout the whole process? if so then how do you stop the car from rolling forward?

    No mate I didn’t have the handbrake off all the time once ,handbrake on before jacking up , probably looks that way ,

    @@DazPreston69 ah ok mate, cause im looking at attempting to to change the rear brakes on my car but my driveway is a bit of a slope so wasn't sure how to tackle it. if im meant to have my handbrake on through or just have it turned off

    @@abxal9059 wouldn’t do it on a slope get flat level ground with a longer lift jack if it’s a Sportage, let me know how you get on mate ,hope it helps
