Averaging 45mpg... Really!! Is that the best that 2022 can do? Why not spend £2,000 or £3,000 on any petrol car that can do 35 to 40mpg and keep the £30,000 in your bank. Petrol & Electric... Let's see the bill when it goes wrong!

The warranty is riddled with ‘ware and tear’ clauses. Sounds good but I have run in’s with Kia dealerships about not repairing stuff under warranty. There is no customer ombudsman at Kia that I know of

Those rear airflow slats will get blocked with leaf mulch in the autumn. You'll need to clean them out with a thin stick now and again.

Can i just say that touch screen buttons are never meant to work in the car. Its too fiddly and dangerous, especially while driving. Everyone knows fiddling with your touch screen smartphone whilst driving is dangerous and banned. So how come it is allowed for cars to have more of those?

In 3 years of ownership, the B trip on my car is showing 40.3 mpg. That’s the average for the 3 years. On open roads I get around 42-44mpg It’s a 2.5l petrol, auto gearbox, AWD, large estate car fitted with all terrain tyres with 9” of ground clearance, so not a sleek, aerodynamic car. I would be extremely dissatisfied with a 45mpg hybrid.

Mercedes C300 diesel almost 68 mpg on long journeys, more comfort, quiet, precise power. with trade in £32000 - Why not encourage engine manufacturers to research ways to eliminate particulates and capture CO2 from diesel.

45 miles per gallon is not very good for a small hybrid. Plus you can’t compare it to a ford Kuga the sporage is a comparison to the Kuga.

Good luck achieving that with the new diesel engines. The emission regulations on diesel is now getting more strict, forcing manufacturers to add emission controls like adblue, dpf and what nots which will effect the performance of the diesel engines. It's not all manufacturers fault, infact manufacturers would have been happier to continue develop and deliver diesel powered cars had it not been for these regulations. Now that lots of major countries especially Europe are trying to phase out ICE, of course diesel to be the first on the list - there's no point for manufacturers to put their RnDs on diesel. So live with it. You can boast all you want about the highway mpgs of the old diesel cars, but diesel cars are already dead.
