Kia Joice | Bi-Xenon HID Projector & Angel Eyes Headlight Upgrade installation

In this video we show you how to build a regular family car into a pretty rough one! With dimmable Angel eyes as Daytime Running Lights and position lights, in perfect combination with the Mini H1 bi-xenon projectors with the best bulbs available on the moment, the XB35 5500K H1.
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
0:00 Halogen view before we retrofit the Kia Joice
0:08 Remove the clips on the glass and housing by a flat screw driver and heat it in the carton box for about 15 minutes
0:34 When the headlight is heat enough you can open it pretty easily with a flat screw driver, and press the glass of the housing
0:53 Unscrew the inlay to get by the reflector
1:16 Unscrew the bulb holder from the back side so the Mini H1 projectors tail can trough the opening
1:25 Don't forget the rubber ring on the tail, and lock the projector from the back with the included centric ring and nut
1:41 Screw the bulb holder on the tail of the bi-xenon projector and connect the H1 high beam splitter
2:17 Back to the front, you'll put the centric ring on the projector and press the Iris shroud on it (you can use some extra glue for secure fitment)
We've mount an SMD Angel Eye on the Iris shroud and use that as city lights
2:36 Put back the inlay and lock it by the screws again
2:52 Mostly extra butyl isn't needed here, but to be sure we put some extra new grey butyl in there, press it in the housing
3:16 Press the glass back on the housing and heat it again for about 15 minutes in the carton box
3:31 When it's heated the glass slides in the housing when you press a little, lock it with some clamps and let it cool down and press the clips back on the housing and glass
3:58 Connect the T10 position light with the Angel eyes and the dimmable wire with the + of the low beam (when you turn on the low beam, the angel eyes will dim from DRL to position lights)
4:16 Drill a hole of 22mm in the cap for the rubber and wires
4:31 Put all the wires in the housing and mount the H1 xenon bulb. Connect the two plugs with the original H7 connector
5:01 Clean it a little before you put it back in the car
5:22 Final view, SMD Angel eyes as DRL and position light when you turn on the low beam bi-xenon projectors. Here we use the best XB35 5500K H1 bulbs for a perfect match and perfect light output!

Retrofitting refers to the addition of new technology or features to older systems. These days there are a lot of people who put a simple plug & play xenon kit in their halogen headlight housing in an attempt to improve night vision and looks of their vehicle. In fact they don’t realize that their headlight beams are often worse than before. Night vision achieves relatively little improvement on night vision because of a poor beam pattern, which increases the blinding of other road users. This is because their headlight housings are designed for halogen and not xenon.
A true Bi-Xenon projector update is now possible for your car. Such an upgrade will significantly improve your light output from 700-2100 lumens to 2800 and 3500 lumens, without blinding other traffic with glare from your headlight. Upgrade your headlight OEM style!
The latest high power Led bulbs will upgrade both the exterior and interior lighting system of your car. Led lighting is becoming more and more popular in the automotive market for obvious reasons. They have longer lifetime, use less energy and improve safety with their fast response time.

thanks a lot because every time i wash my car water seeps into my headlight causing them to fog up i hope this sealant is close to the factory one. And do u have any idea how to remove the old sealant

How to avoid moisture i did it on my headlight installed drl but one headlight started absorbing moisture do i have to reopen and do it

Using butyl to seal it / a good seal is most important. But it also needs to ventilate, with these vents you can optimize the ventilation (to let the damp air out). www.retrofitlab.com/breathing-vents.html

Ziet er niet super moeilijk uit.. Maar hoe groot is de kans dat die lek gaat? Als je dit zelf doet kost veel meer tijd dan laat doen..

+Retrofitlab begrijp ik. Heb via Ali express drl verlichting gezien. Heb een Astra h met "angel eyes" zonder drl en gewoon 4 ledjes per oog. Enige min punt is. Dat enkele ledjes binnen 3-4 maanden doorbranden. En elk jaar met apk open moet doen. Ben er klaar mee 😁. Dacht dat zo'n vervanging te doen moet zijn..

Sorry, no specific kit for it. Probably the Mini H1 with the mini gatlin shroud would fit :)

Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius. When ready, switch off the oven and place the headlight inside. Make sure that the headlight is not touching any metal of the oven by placing a cloth over the grid, for example. Leave the headlight in the oven for 10-15 minutes before opening it. If the headlight kit is not yet soft enough, put the headlight in the oven for a bit more time.
Could you tell what heat setting are you using for heating the box?

e use a setting of 300 Degrees Celsius for 12-18 minutes / 1st lowest setting, depending on the size of the headlight.

@@hadam96 Usually with good quality LED ones there are not a lot of problems. Sometimes the driver fail, but they are usually easy to replace and under warranty.
How do you align the projectors

Make sure to mark the cut-off of the stock halogen headlights on a wall, before you install the projectors.
