I own this in 6 seater avatar. In bad Bangalore traffic it returns 7kmpl, on highways with constant 110-120 it’s at 13-14 kmpl. Frankly with luggage and 3-4 on-board you can take corners, not too steep, like on Hassan-Bangalore highway easily at 115kmph. Never felt underpowered. Ride quality is brilliant, the family simply loves the comfort and bad roads don’t filter in like in the BR-V, so that way I can carry speeds and they don’t notice it much. The rattling is either the seatbelt in 2nd or 3rd row or if the 3 row seats aren’t reclined a bit behind you can hear that, I’ve completed 6k kms, happy so far and frankly built better than so called typical Korean.

Use nayara petrol to get more efficiency! I too owns carens prestige plus and with the help of nayara petrol I got 16.5 km/l on highway while 12-13 km/l in traffic situation.

20:23 Water bottle coming out can be dangerous, it can block brakes to be applied. I read a news in which the reason for accident was due to bottle coming beneath the brakes.

There are buttons on steering wheel to set as shortcut to the screen functions The rattling sound is from the seatbelts and to prevent that just put them in their holder (took me 2 weeks to understand the reason for the rattling) I drive this car in Delhi and NCR , this car returned around 20 kmpl highway and city mix when I drove it at 1200 to 1400 rpm at any speed just upshift early and the fuel mileage will amuse u in this car! ( I own 1.4tgdi mt variant prestige plus model) The car is like an allrounder feels good while driving as its powerful even offroad (not superb but still amazing) feels comfortable too and very practical (not super in that department too but good enough) the thing with allrounder is that it will be amazing and good but not perfect in any specific aspect ! Overall I've had this car for about 7 months and its never made me feel i made a mistake buying this one :)

It does the job, without a doubt. But when 7 occupants on board and you approach an inclination, you really have to squeeze the engine to pull it quick enough.

​@@fadilrahman2157 Yes. Throttle response is poor. On Hills with 7 passengers it's a struggle to drive the car. If there is traffic then it's a nightmare.

I came here to learn English.

I own a Kia carens 1.4 Turbo Petrol, please find below the mileage(Shell Unleaded petrol). Express Highways with 70-85 speed - 21.5 per liter Express Highway with 100+ Speed - 13 km per liter State highway with 50-60 speed ( 2way, no divider) - 16 km per liter City with bumper to bumper traffic - 8 to 10 per liter City with normal traffic - 12.5 per liter 1.4 Turbo petrol had little lag on rough roads ( humps on rough roads, terrain rough roads etc.) as you will not get turbo power until it reaches 1.2k rpm. Once the turbo is on, it is awesome.

I think it is high time you reviewers also highlight that this car and the seltos are 3 star rating safety wise...and the same cars internationally are 5 star ratings....but then again it's all about profit to the car companies and viewership for youtubers right??

5:07 thats charging cable holder / organizer 5:09 the storage under the blower control is cooled. The front cup holders in center console under the hand brake also gets cooling vents. The wireless charging might be switched off. you can switch it on from control screen. I have got 7-DCT Luxury Plus 7seater. Overall nice family car. Have commuted with 6-ppl, and there's plenty of power for comfortable drive and overtaking. - would have liked headrest for middle seat. - would have liked sliding/adjustable arm rest for driver. - would most definitely like 360° camera

The manual version is limited to very few features. The top one is called prestige option which doesn't get rear washer, wiper and de-fogger, steel rims and 100 year old tech of H4 bulbs!

The car is absolutely phenomenal.. Ride Quality is spot on... I don't face any issue because I know how to drive.. The clutch engages really down the pedal.. And people have a habit.. To get the drive train engaged really up towards the driver.. So you've to follow the technique of 3/4th clutch instead of Half Clutch technique in the uphill slopes and you'll be fine... 50% throttle full clutch.. Then let bring the pedal to 3/4th full clutch position.. And it'll roll smoothly without any problem... Slowly let the clutch pedal go.. And increase the throttle... Mileage in the city it's around 11kmpl I live in proper Kolkata.. And In the highway I got around 18.7 kmpl.. And with enthusiastic driving in the highway.. will see your mileage drop to 14.5kmpl ( 3 people)

@@debashmiyabhakta2620 when I did the test drive, I found a serious lack in punch. I currently drive a brv and tbh there wasn't much of a elevation in driving experience . I live close to hills so that lack of punch becomes quite evident on steep slopes. It will be a good city and probably a good highway car, but for hills, I think it's underwhelming. Plus the manual is better than the automatic. Automatic is pure shit bro. The off road experience is also not that smooth. Yes it's very practical, great for city and highways but for someone who's looking to play around and have some spice, it doesn't deliver.

@@saharshmangal7467 Manual is always better.. Your BRV is diesel?? I don't live in the hills.. But people even complained about having problems in pulling it out of parking lots.. I didn't face any problem.. Now bro.. Your needs and my needs are different.. I wanted a fast car in the straights and capable car to pull 7 people with luggage.. And it pulls cleanly.. And it does quite the job in the hills in Darjeeling.. Now it's obviously not an offroader.. You just can't get anything and everything.. Given the price point 🤣🤣 .. And you also want it to go around bends like a Figo.. So yeah.. It does the job I bought it for quite well and with ease.

Very disappointing safety with A pillar bending in crash test

I have heard turbo lag in first and second gear. Especially if there is a uphill or even in an apartment if we have to go up a steep there is lot of lag. Please confirm if this is true and is it wort to buy the 1.4 turbo .

Sorry to say this guys but it’s a 3 star rating for india (mostly rounded off to achieve “sales”)- just be carefully while on high ways and be watchful while driving , do you guys even know the what the fuel tank is made of ?? Just buy a good safe car for your loved once. If you cannot afford one go for safe second hand one . The more you purchase these products worse the quality it becomes, eg Innova crysta but the safety is still better .

@@anandkhond5474 but better option than ertiga and saftey rating is not the only necessary thing, the driver has to drive responsibly as well . Recently an youngster died in a tata nexon at 100+ kmph despite of it's high safety rating .

The Carens is a good car Overall. It just disappointed with its Safety rating. Ertiga still remains to dominate the segment.

I have to disagree on one point. The Diesel engine is much better and pulls more than the petrol. There are many complaints on the petrol variant of this car. Even the turbo petrol. I personally own the diesel engine. Even drove with total 8 people in the car(not kidding) and it didn't disappoint. Petrol engine couldn't climb slopes properly. People who bought the petrol engine are regretting it.

Recently I did tank to tank mileage test of my carens prestige plus turbo petrol between Gurgaon to Kurukshetra, 207 km run in 3:12 hrs. I got 21.9 kmpl in real while mid was showing 19.3 kmpl. We were 2 adults, 2 kids and boot full of luggage.

You can get a powerful engine and all super computers inside the car, but when you properly see there is no proper build quality and safety which you can apparently see, then the Korean giant want to compete with Maruti in India , which is why I stopped Buying anything that is related to Hyundai, as soon as I heard they reduced the build quality, better you can go for renault or Nissan (except kwid), or get a Mahindra or Tata , their engines can be weak , but the above companies has tank like build , eg xuv300, 700, Tata nexon, and so on

Its better than city engine in terms of power. City 1.5 vtec has better feel and sound but much less power.

@@shashwatdhaon98 both are 0-100 in around 10 sec, so very slight difference. Turbo has a different feeling though. I have a vtec and enjoy driving it cos it light and chickable but also have turbo diesel and there is that kick in the pants feeling that u dont get in NA cars.
