Khamzat Chimaev Is Brutally Honest With Daniel Cormier Heading Into UFC 279

Спорт

I sat down with Khamzat Chimaev before his big fight with Nate Diaz at UFC 279! What a character! Chimaev said that he doesn't care who you put in front of him he's out of kill EVERYBODY! As long as the money is good, ANYBODY CAN GET IT !

I love these DC interviews because the fighters don’t feel they're sitting down with regular reporters and it’s more just a chat between fighters.

Is it? It seemed like DC was using too many difficult words to ask a non-native speaker. Poise, draw from something else, etc. DC needs to do better preparation, especially when interviewing non-natives.

@John Smith wait, what? He sat down with him. He didn't have to do a personal interview, he could request someone else. Seems like they got along fine. I think Khamzat is a bit more serious amd intense, vs DC's goofy disarming style. But he respects him because DC was the real deal, Olympian, multiple titles in two weight classes in MMA.

they don't have the chemistry that khabib and dc have. You can see that chimaev is a bit more hot headed and closed than khabib is. Chimaev even looked a bit annoyed at times. He definitely got a bit annoyed by those taps thad dc always gives. But you have to understand that dc and khabib were together damn near 24/7 and khabib really appriciated dc guiding him and teaching him english and stuff. So khabib really sees dc like a family member. Khamzat does not have this same bromance with dc as khabib has.

Betting he doesn't do this with guys that are bigger than himself, maybe a wrestling thing maybe abit of both... you could tell borz didn't like all that touching

  • @Mr-E.

I definitely think cultural plays a huge role as you mentioned. I forget which famous actor said that he didn't care about the meaning behind his "characters", he just does it because it pays well and it is easy. It also reminds me of job interviews when I was younger where they ask why you want the job. You are supposed to say every reason under the sun EXCEPT that you need the job because you need money. There is a "song and dance" around the topic of money where there has to be some extra meaning sprinkled on top because the pursuit of money itself seems "bad". Same with beauty pageant contests. Rather than the models admitting they want to win so they can make money, become famous and be admired for their beauty... they have talk about world peace, how they would end hunger, poverty and war, etc.
