Sometimes. We used to have holes pre drilled then we would place a rear and cs grout. Or use hilti knock in bolts. Depends some stairs had steel bearing plates that would have holes then bolt them down to the precast landing. These units have the half landing already cast onto the stairs. Its a good job. I worked at a precast concrete installer for over 20 years. So many different types of precast units. From walls, columns, floor slabs, architecturel panels.
