We’re in 2024 and I’m now a Singer and my role model is Khadja🥹i use to listen to her as a child🥺Ndagukunda cane Khadja Nin❤
For those who don't understand the lyrics..she sang in swahili (language used often by people in East Africa; Kenya/Tanzania, Uganda..). What she is saying is this "Place of the world Place of Paris or of Rome It has poor people They neither cry nor demand charity They accept their destiny That people sings Even when they sleep with empty stomachs It is thus so . . . every day Stop speaking for nothing Complaining about your own fortune You do not know true misery Look at that people over there They neither cry nor demand charity That people sings Even when they sleep with empty stomachs..."

Something curious happened to me, while listening to the original version of this song in my car: "Keep on singing" by Chilean singer Sebastián Santa María. On September 19, 2023, I go to refuel at a service station in Cañete (Bío-Bío Region, Chile). When he lowered the window and while the song was playing on the radio, the attendant almost shouted: That song is from my country, what a surprise! Talking with him, he told me that "Wale Watu" is very well known in his native country: Burundi, and he thanked me almost through tears for having listened to it after so many years. When I got home, I did a little research and came across this video and a great cover-song in Swahili. Burundi and Chile united by music!
I got the English lyrics...they almost cried theyre so beautiful, preach my sister Alot of love from Lesotho!

This song soothes my soul, in a way I don't understand. I can't explain the feeling. I'm from Botswana, with no understanding of Swahili. I understand certain words as they are very close to my native language(Kalanga). However, this masterpiece is so soulful

The song is called "Keep on singing", which was composed, sung and released by the Chilean singer-songwriter Sebastian Santa María in 1987...I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this is just a good cover...(even , in the chorus in this cover version you can clearly hear the spanish sentences" Sin parar , sin parar , dale que dale" that the original author put in his native language. I leave the video for you to check. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZoKXlNubk73SXbw.html
