All I'm going to say is 🇷🇺 Russia is a SUPER power and if the President himself is willing to Sapport and get Kabib promoted and get what he needs and have everything at his disposal including Unlimited amount of cash flow.....It will be a force to be reckoned with. Smart move for Khabib. Obviously he's not doing this on his own and has investors in with him. The thing is, everyone knows that the UFC does not treat their fighters well. Everyone knows that lots of fighters want to fight at 165. I'm sensing that Khabib might potentially pull something big here. I mean realistically this MMA promotion is not going to be raking in dough anytime soon right ? I mean yeah they can easily break even just with their gates and lure in potentially decent fighters just by paying them competitively and treating them well. But imagine if Khabib were to come out of retirement, fight at 165, challenge and lure in fighters like Dustin, Masvidal, Nate Diaz, potentially Jake Paul ? So far its gaining lots of hype but we'll have to wait and see.

It seems like a good idea. Khabib would definitely have more empathy for fighters because he was one for most of his life. I also like the weight classes. Speaking of class, Khabib is a very classy and honorable guy. I hope his promotion takes off for the fighters who deserves great treatment and respect because their job is so hard and dangerous.

The fact you call it "khabibs new UFC" and not "khabibs new MMA promotion" shows the influence UFC has over the sport, its crazy but more people know what the UFC is than know what MMA is a lot use them interchangeably, regardless of media trying to down play its influence and size with stupid headlines. The Eagle FC isn't a new promotion and Khabib isn't a new owner, it was called Eagle FC 44 for a reason, this is just the first card they've had somewhat relevant fighters.

@@sahilprashar567 Realistically Khabib has tens of millions saved up and he is not spending alot of money on this. Likely has other investors along for the ride as well, which would make sense for something like this. They also have other little quirks in their favor. For example, they could have just streamed on youtube for their first event. Instead they streamed for free off of their on platform/website. In the long run that is smart because at the end of the day youtube still gets 50% of that ad revenue right ? I'm not sure if this will actually make it to the level that Khabib desires or envisions but who knows, maybe after the new 165 lb weight class develops, maybe Khabib comes out of retirement and lures in some freshly retired UFC talent like potentially Nate ? Masvidal ? Dustin ? That would make it explode but we'll have to wait and see.

I'm now a new khabib fan. Wow what a great idea. Go khabib.

I hope Eagle FC makes big inroads in the US. There's nothing better for the market than some good old fashion competition. And it will give fighters more options who to sign with. So if you're good enough for the UFC and dont agree to their terms, Eagle FC will be there to compare and compete wth. So maybe in the long run Dana will either be more competitive towards the market, or he just wont give a shit and keep doing things his way.

@say que yes but ufc is invidual sport. There are only academys that train people but the players pay that school. Its not oike ypu are asking Barcelona or Likers to join you. The transition could be easyer. But we will see

I see this easily being able to break even just with their live gate and streaming. Interesting, they have chosen to stream on their own platform as opposed to lets say youtube for example. The first event was free. I mean realistically that's smart, because at the end of the day, youtube is still going to take 50% right ? This way Khabib can get nearly 90% or more of his ad revenues after expenses right ? If Khabib comes out of retirement to fight other fighters at 165, now that would make Eagle FC blow up. Some UFC fighters are potentially at the end of their contracts, like Ngannou, Masvidal, Conor, Diaz and there are lots of others.

Ha, that’s hilarious. It would be great If running a business was that easy, give the fans and the fighters “what they want”, too bad it’s not. At the end of the day, if it don’t make dollars, it don’t make sense and it will fail. It may be a slow death, but it will fail. The question really comes down to this one thing, how much are you willing to pay for everyone to get what want? Because the fan is the consumer, THE only source of revenue and Eagle FC is going to attempt to do all this, not with 100% of the market, which is basically what the UFC has, but a percentage of that market share. Very difficult to do, I fact, almost impossible. Golden Boy attempted it and lost their ass, still owing fighters, suppliers, vendors and others money to this day. So how many Pay Per View fights per month can you watch? And how much more are you willing to pay?

@@gentlemankane668 Goldenboy failed because Oscar had a serious drug problem that really got out of control at some points. Oscar didn't focus on his business enough and after Canelo left it was pretty much a done deal. For a while though they were doing pretty good for a few years there.

Khabib is one hell of a man, I think he will be incredibly successful just as he was in UFC. He will do things HIS way, often times a way people have said will not work. But if you listen to the masses you will end up dead.

Khabib is a very likeable person... Its clear he has high personal integrity

He has a huge following and people willing to back him, I think if he can keep doing what he is doing, he is going to grow, anyway I think he is going to pay more and help the fighters more then UFC but I think he can run neck to neck with them.....

Good for Khabib. He is a hard worker , very smart and one of, if not the greatest combatant of all-time. I have no doubt his Eagle FC will be a successful enterprise. Smart for a fighter, which puts him way down the troth in terms of intelligence amongst normal people.

Don't see a difference to other promotions. For me the most interesting Promotion is "One". The Fight Card in One is really nice especially in the Female Fighters. Real Hard Knocks.

Jake Paul is only interested in fighting older, smaller fighters out of their prime. Still impressive that he KOd a Askren and Woodley in his first few boxing matches. I mean most boxers, literally their first dozen or two dozen opponents are literally nobodies, like literally joe blo from down the street. So realistically it is impressive what Jake Paul has done. I will admit, he has surpassed my early doubts. Obviously the kid is dedicated, athletic, believes in himself and puts in the effort. Only time will tell but at the moment there are far too many easy money fights in boxing for Jake Paul to jump into MMA.

Watch reruns of old ufc events. Then factor in age and time lapse, cut the action in half and bang, efc. Never gonna make it picking up ufc has beens. Only way efc will make it and compete with ufc is if they pick up new young talent to compete. Eventually people will get tired of seeing their heroes take a beating after they retired and efc will wash up

been watchin the ufc since '93 & they've been scummy since day 1. they move the goal post for the gracies & been underpaying fighters back then too. yes i admire what dana did for the fight genre but they should really be more generous to the fighters who brought them fame & fortune. wishing the eagle a very lucrative success & hopefully all great fighters will leave the ufc for efc.

So very true. I think many folk would be amazed if they knew how the UFC actually goes about paying fighters and trying their best to create champions who look marketable. I swear that some fights have been WWE tackle. You watch how the Paddy Pimblett Guy who has zero defence stood up is matched up and even that may not be enough to stop him getting knocked out and yet I’ll bet he’s getting paid more than Better fighters

Just want Khabib to very be successful and grow to even better and bigger than the UFC. Like good people a lot and I support them for being just that.

If Khabib wants to change the game he will need top name fighters. Offer up a % of PPV money to fighters and you will sign up top tier fighters. This way you can get your Jon Jones, Nganeau, people who don't think they make enough but would be big draws. They can't complain if they dont get the PPV buys, so the smack talk would be ridiculous.

What are you babbling on about? UFC is not a monopoly at all, there are tons of MMA promotions around the world. Some are internationally famous (eg Bellator, Rizin, etc.) and others are only known nationally or regionally (eg KSW). The UFC is the most famous one with (generally speaking) the best fighters, but is far from being a monopoly.
