Khabib wrestled bears as a kid! His training and mentality is crazy. Once you get on the ground your toast. Khabib wears you down, Beats you up, then submits you. His ground skills are insane and he is very strong.

It’s going to be very unlikely that another fighter comes along that’s as dominant as Khabib. He didn’t even get cut! Even the great Jon Jones looked human against Dom Reyes

And you have to remember Jon was THE superstar FOR A DECADE SO lower fighters fought their best matches EVER against him and still got destroyed. Lyoto Machida, Glover, Gustafson, D.C. etc brought their best A game to no avail.

he's giving away some of their secrets here. the hard sparring at the end of a day, with coaches against a non regular gym buddy is an excellent idea, it will keep fighters in a fight frame of mind on a regular basis which would otherwise be hard to emulate in a gym.

@@itsnahombereket it's not how it goes in most training camps/gyms which is why these guys are the goats. khabibs dad is the best coach in any sport of all time. proper alpha male. no single man has produced as many world class athletes/champs in any sport.

Love Khabib, he’s definitely up there as one of the goats. So no hate when I say this I really think certain types of top control are over scored in ufc, but judges aren’t nuanced enough to be able to the differences in someone really working to best someone from top control, and just fucking laying in some dudes guard on top.

Very true, khabib would constantly being moving and advancing, whereas some guys lay in guard and if they’re not getting good gnp off, than it’s really not very effective, it’s still definitely better than what the guy on the bottom is doing though, unless he is being an absolute menace of his back with elbows and sub attempts, but generally they’re still losing when on bottom.

You’re right in that being in top at the time is definitely better even if you are just laying in his guard, but that’s the thing I’ve seen judges over score that shit when the other dude worked him standing up for 3 minutes. Then the other guy gets the takedown and lays on top of him with no work to advance for 2 minutes.
