मुनव्वर राना आप हरि सिंह नलवा को पढ़िए .. हरि सिंह नलवा की रणकौशल की मिसालें ब्रिटिश सैन्य अकादमी में आज तक दी जाती है। महाराज रंजीत सिंह अगर इतने कामयाब हुए तो उसके पीछे उनके सेनापति हरि सिंह नलवा ही थे। हरि सिंह की अगुवाई में ही सिख साम्राज्य ने 1813 में अटक, 1814 में कश्मीर, 1816 में महमूदकोट, 1818 में मुल्तान, 1822 में मनकेरा और 1823 में पेशावर समेत 20 से ज्यादा युद्धों में अफगानों और पठानों को जमीन चटा दी थी। हरि सिंह ने ना केवल खैबर पास से होने वाले आक्रमणों को रोक दिया था बल्कि उन्होंने काबुल पर चढ़ाई कर अफ़गानों से उनकी राजधानी तक छीन ली थी। जिन अफगानों की बहादुरी पर आज मुनव्वर राना लहालोट हुए जा रहे हैं उन्हीं पेशावरी पश्तूनों पर हरि सिंह नलवा एकछत्र राज करते थे। नीचे दिख रहे पश्तूनों के किले 'जमरूद' में हरि सिंह नलवा शान से रहते थे और हरि सिंह नलवा के समय अगर इस किले के छत पर रात में दिया जल जाता था तो अफगानों में खौफ दौड़ जाता था। आज तक नलवा का खौफ पाकिस्तान के नार्थ ईस्ट फ्रंटियर के कबीलाई इलाकों में दिखाई देता है। अब भी जब कोई बच्चा रोता है तो मां उसे चुप कराने के लिए कहती है-‘सा बच्चे हरिया रागले’ (सो जा बच्चे नहीं तो हरी सिंह आ जाएगा) हरि सिंह नलवा का ये खौफ था कि 30 अप्रैल 1837 को अपनी आखिरी लड़ाई में जब वो बीमारी की हालत में युद्ध करते हुए वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए तो उनकी मौत को छुपा कर उनके शव को दो दिन तक सिंहासन लगा के किले के ऊपर रखा गया और हरि सिंह नलवे को बैठा देख कर अफगानों की आगे बढ़ने की दम ना हुई। लेकिन मुनव्वर राना, दिक्कत ये है कि हरि सिंह नलवा पर गर्व करने के लिए आपको सिक्ख या हिंदू नहीं बल्कि भारतीय होना पड़ेगा और वो आजकल आपके लिए होना मुश्किल है।
